Let me just say that, that chapter was felt on spiritual level in regards giving oneself to another and not receiving the love that was being given to that person. That pain, the energy and the emotions were felt in her voice. A play on words demonstrating how they take not only tanigible items but also intangible items that make up the person you are as a colord girl but guess what, WE WANT IT ALL BACK. Truly worth every single minute. Take a listen my BLACK QUEENS.

Just listening to the countless lives that were lost not only in United States but also in Vietnam. The My Lai Massacre broke my heart. I had to pause and take a breather. The War led to oher revolution change and for that we are grateful. Thank you for an insightful and concise details about this historical event.

The images of loyal Cubans in Havana openly crying in the streets stood in stark contrast to the Cuban exiles and their descendants just 90 miles away in Miami, Florida. While Cuban citizens were mourning, Cuban Americans were celebrating; they were laughing, dancing, and drinking to celebrate Castro’s demise. It seems Fidel Castro was just as polarizing in death as he was in life.

What I find rather interesting about this book is though Castro's intentions were pure, there were others who would use this for their needs which resulted in the Cuban Missile Crisis. I believe reconcillation could have been resolved through the Kennedy Administration, but due to "unforeseen circumstances" this wasn't accomplished. In conclusion what I got was he wanted people to be equal both exploiters and exploited. He believed he was getting help out of good conscious but that wasn't the case. A concise and detail important parts of Castro's life. It was worth my time.

As a female soccer Player, myself who has had my share of trials and tribulations in finding myself in not only the game and also in my personal life, this memoir has put so much into perspective.
Life won’t always be what we think or plan it to be but it’s rather our response to the outcomes and situations in life. I couldn’t put down this book.I finished listening within a day. We see people standing firm but behind the success there can be so much pain.
This book was the book I needed and I didn’t even know. Abby was and will always be an inspiration for this generation and for the other generation to come. There is no level of words to fully express how grateful I am to have lived in a time to haveeven see you play and to witness your words of wisdom. Thank you Abby 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

I am not one to normally leave a review but this is worth the time I tell you. Right from the jump the story began on a high and let me say this it just kept getting better and better. The development of the plot as it thickens kept pulling me in; I didn't want to put it down. Chills were all over mean with description of the Love, Family, War and near lost of a loved. This books depicts exactly what it means to live your life, be happy, be grateful and never to forget how precious life is. Can´t wait to read book 2.
