Fun, light, and interesting
Revisado: 05-08-18
These books are great for a fun little read.
All the main characters are likable and the story flows nicely.
the only down side, there are a lot of repetitive phrases "ticked up a notch" is said well over 100 times.
But over all they where a fun story. I'd listen again to .

Terrible narration again.
Revisado: 07-15-16
I've read the entire series thus far. And was excited when the first book made it audible. However the story was less enjoyable. Due to Chris Ensweiler's terrible narration of the boys. But the story was still enjoyable nonetheless.
The same is true for this book once again Chris Ensweiler just murdered the narration. It's so Bad I would have called for a refund had I not paid 2.99 for the book and even at the price it was a struggle to finish.

Historia
With an agoraphobic mother and a barely there father, Sang abhors the isolation keeping her in the shadows. The only thing she craves is a fresh start and to be accepted as ordinary by her peers, because for her being different means being cast out alone. When her family moves to a new school district, Sang infiltrates a group of boys who are nearly perfect in every way. Grateful for an influence outside of her parents' negativity, she quickly bonds with the boys, hoping to blend in and learn from them what it means to have a natural relationship with friends.

CHRIS ENSWEILER MURDERED THE NARRATION
Revisado: 02-10-16
I have waited forever for this book series to make it to audible.
HOWEVER the narration in this book was just murdered. Chris Ensweiler could not have done a worse job. This is probability thee worst narration iv come across. The voices where poorly done.
They did notmatch the characters descriptions at all. For example Victor is described as a thin lanky teen. Who's a concert pianist and his family is wealthy. In the book he has the most poorly over done southern accent!!? Also some times the voices become muddled and kota ends up with a southern accent that faded in and out. Other times you just couldn't tell who was speaking.
I am so disappointed. I didn't have unrealistic expectations for the audio book being that I had already read the book and loved it. but with narration so poor that someone who has read the book more then once I still couldn't tell who was speaking. Other listeners will be lost.
please get rid of Chris!

Historia
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch, which was why she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (a.k.a. witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered she was a demon, and her hot crush, Archer Cross, was an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping her kind off the face of the earth.

fantastically fun read!
Revisado: 11-02-15
The Hex Hall series has to be one of the most fun paranormal YA reads, I've read in a while. The main characters snarky first person point of view is amazingly funny and down to earth. For a girl who just found out that she's a demon, in an arranged marriage to the hunky young grounds keeper and her BFF is a Young lesbian vampire.
The story is a Young teen appropriate read. With no foul language or overtly sexual innuendos, if you're a parent who looks for those qualities in their children's reading. ( I don't find it all that important ) but this author has pulled together a series with witty writing and good clean fun. Which seems to be harder and harder to find in YA these days.
However the the author does not shy away from important teenage issues such as Sexuality, sexual preference and morally challenging issues.

Historia
On her 12th birthday, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. Three bumpy years later, after a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, she's exiled to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters. By the end of her first day, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire on campus.

Decent listen if you love YA.
Revisado: 10-22-15
I loved the concept of the series. However the main character America came off written as a petulant child, instead of a conflicted heroine. I struggled through the first 3 and don't think I will bother to read the 4th or companion books. I did enjoy the authors imagery and the dystopian feel.
