Historia
Connie Chung is a pioneer. In 1969 at the age of 23, this once-shy daughter of Chinese parents took her first job at a local TV station in her hometown of Washington, D.C. and soon thereafter began working at CBS news as a correspondent. Profoundly influenced by her family’s cultural traditions, yet growing up completely Americanized in the United States, Chung describes her career as an Asian woman in a white male-centered world.

Distilling networking rules
Revisado: 03-14-24
I really enjoyed the pragmatism of this book. None of the suggestions are out of reach; in fact, all of them are doable even as you read/listen to the book. My favorite rule was out working the competition. Committing to always doing more than anyone else will always set you apart from your peers and propel you as the leader in your industry. There will always be someone who is a little better than you are but being first and committing to getting the job done will always get you the worm 🙃

This was not good

Honestly just a bunch of jibber jabber. Didn’t talk meaningfully about AI just what everyone has assumed AI to be.

So good

This was a really good book. I’ve watched a few is Sinek’s Ted talks and it was really good to read this book and learn more deeply about his theory for “starting with why”. I’m definitely sold
