laugh-out-loud hilarity

French and Saunders are comedy genius, knocked it out of the park with this series. I haven’t commiserated, empathized nor laughed out loud as much at a podcast ever. Can’t wait for more!

Historia
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a tiger by its toe. It's seared into Atlee Pine's memory: the kidnapper's chilling rhyme as he chose between six-year-old Atlee and her twin sister, Mercy. Mercy was taken. Atlee was spared. She never saw Mercy again. Three decades after that terrifying night, Atlee Pine works for the FBI. She's the lone agent assigned to the Shattered Rock, Arizona resident agency, which is responsible for protecting the Grand Canyon. So when one of the Grand Canyon's mules is found stabbed to death at the bottom of the canyon - and its rider missing - Pine is called in to investigate.

Unrealistic story coupled with the oddest narration.
Revisado: 07-25-19
This was my first David Baldacci and I’m sad to say likely my last. Firstly the story. It started off quite promising but overall seemed to be a lot of very detailed play by play scenes of a very unrealistic storyline (vague to avoid spoilers.)
Secondly, a very odd choice to have the male narrator read only the parts where a male speaks. The female narrator was excellent and would have been fine reading the entire book. The male made the characters sound slow as well as weird timing issues with the two narrators. A horrible production choice in my opinion.

I couldn't get past the flat narration
Revisado: 01-23-17
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
If the inflection of the narrator isn't bothersome, then it may be an enjoyable book. I liked the story and will be ordering it to read instead.
Would you be willing to try another one of Natalie Blass’s performances?
Probably not. She has an incredibly beautiful voice, for voiceover on a commercial or similar. I'm not sure it had the depth required for this book.
Any additional comments?
I really, really wanted to like it.
