Historia
Change is coming to Sweden’s far north: its untapped natural resources are sparking a gold rush with the criminal underworld leading the charge. But it’s not the prospect of riches that brings Lisbeth Salander to the small town of Gasskas. She has been named guardian to her niece Svala, whose mother has disappeared. Two things soon become clear: Svala is a remarkably gifted teenager—and she’s being watched.

More confusing but good

Just need to listen more closely that the other books. Many characters and some time jumping.

After their mother passes, three estranged siblings reunite to sort out her estate. Beth, the oldest, never left home. She stayed with her mom, caring for her until the very end. Nicole, the middle child, has been kept at arm’s length due to her ongoing battle with a serious drug addiction. Michael, the youngest, lives out of state and hasn’t been back to their small Wisconsin town since their father ran out on them seven years before.

Murder Mystery mixed with good life lesson, family values
Revisado: 07-08-24
I had my suspicions but was still surprised with the ultimate outcome. I enjoyed the small town setting and sibling relationships. It wasn’t the perfect 5-star yet I’m still searching for something similar for my next listen.

Gripping twists, frustrations & curiosity
Revisado: 05-17-23
I first listened to What’s in the water and it was good, more ok/good, I skeptically moved forward to the family game and YES faith restored! This was a gripping story, worth the invested listening time. A+
