disappointing 😞, really liked this series and purchased all but this one because I had a hunch. curiosity got the best of me and I finally got it. unfortunately I was right. Nellie's character was insecure and that's fine, it was the immaturity and silly high school acts that were just simply annoying. grow up and let it go already. making fart noises, pouring cold drinks down croches and yelling stupid lies, seriously, Devney you let me down on this one. narration was good as usual. waste of 1 credit.

Jasper - Tough Guy with a big heart

Really enjoyed this book in the series. Jasper jester on the outside hurting from within. I enjoyed how a single mother helped him navigate his troubles, bring them to the surface and face them - so he could move on with his life. Great story wonderful HEA for Jasper! Narration very good, very enjoyable listen.

A little disappointed with Maxu's story

My anticipation and expectations were not met!!! We were introduced to Maxu in the epilogue of Choosing Theo. Maxu was described as more indifferent than Theo, that he was a mercenary like Theo, but retired, he was a chronic avoider of the "husband" selection process, would actually commit crimes so he wouldn't be eligible to participate. A genuine badass. Meh... not so much. Not a bad book, but the hype of Maxu simply was not met. Again, great narration from Stephen Dexter.

Malader and Theo - are my favorite Clecanians!

I really enjoyed book 1 of this series Choosing Theo. I love the strong and powerful rejected hero. In this case Malader, he was captured while paying someone's debt and was forced to work in servitude forever. while working he gets the mating sensations that we were introduced to in the first book, but became experts and knowing the signs now in the 6.5th book. Malader is such a kind and caring beast to his mate, he's a beautiful beast, horns notwithstanding! As with all of the Clecanian books, Malader gets his HEA. It is a novella, so the story isn't as developed as the other books, but Victoria did an excellent job of providing the back story. The narration (Stephen Dexter) was particularly good and consistent with the rest of the narrations for this series (THANK YOU). I recommend this read or listen - both!

Cute story, but the F Bombs, blew it!

I love R.L. Mathewson, I really do. I love the Pytes & Sentinels, Hollywood Hearts and of course the Bradford Neighbors. But I might have to lay off your books for a while. The number of F bombs are getting so frequent that they are just plain disturbing. This “F” bomb phenom became increasingly obvious and really noticeable in Unstoppable, now it's plain outlandish. It's hard to believe that all the Bradfords, all the Pytes & Sentinels, Angry Anger Management men, the Fire & Brimstone folks and even the one offs like Never Again all share the same vernacular as it relates to the "F" word. Do you really need that many “F@(% fillers, sometimes 3 in a single sentence. You’re a much better author than that. R.L.’s books use the F word is used as nouns and verbs, adjectives, and pronouns...simply ridiculous! While this particular review may not evidence it, I love R.L.’s books, I love her energy, her deliciously warped stories, but R.L. takes away so much from her genius, by dropping so many unnecessary vulgarities. Now that’s off my chest, about the book, really funny, moments of cuteness and heartwarming incidents that are so R.L. Narration, was excellent as expected, loved this story!

loved Griffin!

what a great start for a series. enjoyed getting to know the Edens! Griff and Win make a bang up couple. A little suspense, a little anx and violence sprinkled with a lot of love. Perry's epilouges are the best. I'll be sure to read AND listen to this series.

over the top ridiculous

I've now read 4 of Kenya's books, I like the WMBW love interest, and I loved the male narrator
... But Kenya is just ridiculous. The storylines in this book, like her others, have murderous heroes and sometimes heroines who kill with minimal thought or concerns. the killings are lackluster. like, oh well, let me kill my good friend cause he wants me to, just stupid. and no one ever gets caught. totally unbelievable. questioning whether I'll continue to support this author.

I really loved Eloise and Jasper's story. this story is really engaging. I enjoyed how the story dealt with both Jasper and Eloise's shortcomings, only to pull it together for their HOA. Liked the epilouge, not as much as the epilouges in the first 2 books of this series, but it was decent. it's worth the credit, happy reading.
