What a life story!

It has taken me months to figure out that I want to buy this book. I’ve read all the reviews and I’d listened to the sample and knew that the narration wasn’t that great. Today, I was dealing with some personal discomforts and decided to give it a try. I must agree that Ms. Pat is probably not the best Narrator. It may have been a more enjoyable listen had someone else read it. With that being said, after listening to her story I totally get. I don’t think people should write the story off due to the narration. If you can’t take the narration please read the book. Yes, Ms. Pat is a comedian at heart. There were times in the story where I was laughing out loud. There were times that I thought were really unbelievable. However, the one thing that I would take away from this book is that Ms. Pat and Michael have a large, large heart. It’s that often when you say, “hey it’s family and and take on 4 kids or take 4 kids and their mom into your home.Many people would not do it. We will make excuses as to why we can’t. When all it wouldn’t take is a little sacrifice and a big heart. Don’t write the story off because Ms. Pat is not the best story reader. She got a GED. Her formal schooling stopped at eighth grade. It’s not all the time about with the most entertaining narrator,but sometimes you just have to forge through and listen to the heart of the story.I will say rabbit is a phenomenal read.

Story dragged on too long

The first 10 chapters are a recap of what happened in the first book. I was looking for Suzanne's adventure to start long before it actually did . If you didn't read the first book, this one is fine to start with.

I totally miss Simon Prebble

This will probably be my last Cynster(audio book) novel. I have listened to the last 11 books in this series and thought that since I liked the series I could tolerate the new narrator. I was wrong. I found myself replying it often to keep up. After a person listens to the voices of characters, it's difficult to keep up with the changes. Don't get me wrong. I think the narrator is an okay listen, but he's no Simon Prebble. As far as the story goes, it was just okay. The author is a fantastic storyteller. The book is well written and I found that the mystery was unforseen.

Seriously lacking

This book lacks a plot. It was meant to be romantic, but it is totally unrealistic. Where is this type of romance happening? It makes me not want to read other titles by this author.

Full of sex

Well yeah, the sex was expected but this was too cheesy. Beautiful. Sex God, love your @$$#, blah blah. Just too much to really enjoy the book. It was drawn out for no apparent reason.

I was ready, but......

I have been waiting for a while for this sequel. I've read Addicted and Nervous several times and greatly anticipated the next novel. I must say that Ms. Zane is the truth. Who thinks of this stuff? I have to admire her for her ability to take me on such an emotional Rollercoaster. In most books, I learn something. This one took me places that I've never been or thought about before. Thanks Zane for this educational experience. I'll have a little more compassion for others when it comes to mental illness. I encourage you read this book. If you thought Zoe and Jude were wild, insane, crazy, etc.... Get ready for Wicked. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better then came Vengeance.

The narrator killed it

I am a fan of Francis Ray and this book series. However, the narrator did not quite meet my expectations for the characters in the book. This is not the first book I've heard this narrator perform. I felt the same way about the other stories as well. I'm not saying that she's a horrible narrator. Another book would probably be okay. Just not this kind. I really wish that the producers would keep in mind the characters of the books before picking the narrator.

Enjoyable Read

I'm a Zuri Day fan. Out of the many books I've read by her, I've not been disappointed. Loved the first story in this series and this one was good too. Although it was a bit slow at places, I would still recommend it. Nice story overall.

This was my first Morrison book in a long time. Sometimes her imagination is too far out there for my taste. However, this book right here is the truth. It is clearly marked as one of the best reads this year for me. I can't wait until the next book comes. The need to wait is the only disappointment. After you read it, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
