Yet, the other members of his team are ready for some relaxation, and fun in the sun. After all, there should be huge perks that come with stopping an invasion in its tracks. Great Narration makes a funny book better.
Revisado: 03-03-23
I like this book and this series overall for various reasons, but the best reason is Luke. Luke is an epic form of crazy character that most will never read in normal novels, but his presence in this Nobel carries the story in a fun way especially when read so masterfully by the Narrator here.
I look forward to the third book.

Amazing narration for a wonderful story.
Revisado: 09-24-22
The Narrator for this Ms.Landon should be commended. her tone, tempo and pronunciation are superb. How she uses Old Tabitha for internal Dialog and changes that considerably from young Tabitha is fantastic.
now for the story review.
There is a lot to love about this story, and a little that is just off.
Let's start with the good stuff.
The characters, especially Tabitha the main character are fantastic, even the ones that are antagonistic to Tabitha and her friends and family. There is fairly amazing internal consistency and development with emotions coming out fairly clearly throughout with excellent dialog, and internal monologing that is done in ways that smoothly tell the story without taking over the story at weird times derailing what is happening in the physical world of the story. This is absolutely a critical element to why this story is so good as Tabitha exploring the world of her youth with her 60 year old memories is the hook that keeps you reading and enjoying so much.
The way this story develops is also incredibly well done with the conflicts Tabith has with herself, and others being wholly believable on a fundamental level. Tabitha having a problem with her body identity, her family, and her classmates is all done in a believable way that progresses along with every change Tabitha makes.
The best part of the story is how even though Tabitha has future knowledge of events this does not give her some easy path to fixing all her problems, if anything it makes it tremendously more difficult to blend in and just be a kid. This dichotomy is a driving force of the story as while Tabitha gets into shape and becomes a lovely young woman Jealousy raises its ugly head and her future self has no experience in dealing with that.
Now onto the few odd bits.
First is some elements of the story only make sense to provide a path for the story to progress. Such as the scene where a person with a weapon is in a place with people that would absolutely not accept her having it, and even when they is seen with it nobody does or says anything until the plot advances. There is also the way people believe the words of some angry children instead of pictures and video they themselves have seen. Much easier to believe kids that age just didn't watch the evening news.
There is also the time there is a school administrator that is somehow in charge of one kid that was withdrawn from school while bringing to meet another kid that had been withdrawn from school while the second kid had litigation pending with that school about a situation involving the first girl. This is convoluted and would absolutely not happen as it did as lawyers would scream about the potential massive liability this could entail if anything at all happened.
Even with these quibbles this story is endearing, especially with the MC's interactions with younger children. This story has so many ways it works that I recommend it to people all the time and have the Digital, Audible, and Hardcover versions.
Just get the book, and Audible if possible you will not be disappointed

Narration is great story is a bit flawed.
Revisado: 09-28-21
Mr. Wyman does a great job of Narrating with the many accents and inflections done flawlessly, the only critique I have is some of the phrases regarding weapons are off, most people will not notice so this is a minor thing.
The story is well written and the idea is one of the best in modern writing. I do have some issues.
Issue one, Owen spends nearly the entire book making every decision based on his crush and does not have an adult mindset for far too long into a book about facing supernatural horror.
Issue two, there is often too much Monologing in these stand off situations. It is more like comic book story lines than a novel usually is. This seems to be used over and over again but Mordechai and the flashbacks are the only ones that seem to be natural to the story. More of that and less of the bad guys standing around gloating.
Anyway I recommend this book and every other by Correia. Very much enjoyed this story, especially the fantastic and sarcastic Holly Newcastle.

Wonderful
Revisado: 07-13-21
This newest chapter in the story of Trent Embra, Violet eyed Survivalist, and former bond of the daughter of Duke Aldross, is the best yet of an already outstanding series.
Giving us fantastic world building. Deep and well formed characters, interactions that establish that Trent is no ordinary boy, and those around him are beginning to know it, even if he does get shrouded from the world by a fairy's curse.
The way this story progresses and how Trent and the ones around him develop is a credit to a well written book, and the way Mr. Campbell reads it is just about perfect. I am flat out amazed at how good this book and series is and recommend it to everyone.
Buy this series, this book and prepare for one fantastic adventure!

Revisado: 03-29-21
Trent is the kind of young person we wish to be. Curious, smart, strong, respectful. His journey through this book is a rocky road that end on a down note. he is alone for the first time leaving the only place he had ever known, and the only friends he had ever made. His journey to this situation is unique and Tim Campbell brings it to life eloquently. The book this leads to is amazing and should you be saddened by this book don't worry Trent will overcome. He has the Endurance to fight for a new life. read it!

Historia
Monsters and beasts roamed the earth and were slain by soldiers and adventurers who were, in turn, killed by stronger threats. Heroes and villains created new epics and were forgotten when their successors appeared. This was the way of the Infinite World. Summoned into this chaotic place, a young boy with no name and no past must learn to survive. Bound to a master who doesn't care whether he lives or dies, he must become stronger. The question is: how?

This is one of the best books of its kind I have ever had the pleasure to read! The Great characters, new and unique setting are refreshing to read, and listen to with Mr. Campbell narrating. The setting so nicely matched the voices used in dialog and the clear narration of the story that is was a pleasure to listen to.

A wonderful book and perfect performance.
Revisado: 02-21-21
First the book itself is incredibly fun and has so many hints to a deeper background that it makes you want to read more just to try and learn more of the great world the characters inhabit, both worlds I should say.
The characters are wonderful and Miss Irondale gets their mannerisms down so well that reading along made the laughter and accents of the speaking parts really stand out.
Miss Irondale really stood out reading this as it has a number of sections where stats are read out and each was done in a flowing and clear manner that must have been hard to get through, yet she does. I cannot recommend the book series and Miss Ted's Irondale enough. a fantastic buy.
