I’m feeling a lot of Stanley Parable getting channeled here as well with the British overseer and the office business building ~ contractor setting. DCC & other lit rpg nods too. Very fun!

No spoilers here but the title of this book truthfully sums up the story quite well. The narration is very well done. This book kept me up late and I have listened to several parts again because they were so funny.

I love following the threads in a Charlie Stoss novel just to see the inventive ways he comes up with to create the final collision. This collision is superb! The accents are jarring at first for my american ears, and we have to be imersed in the world of internet policing, but it is worth the wait, and I know a bit more about where from and how all this %$#!?(grrr)*!!! spam I get evey day is coming from.

This is hard SciFi in a world that could could happen in our lifetimes, no space cowboys and no fae pricesses. A little slow start getting in, but like I said, american ears.... Worth a read for CS fans.

Patrick Lawler could bring the encyclopedia britanica to life with his performances. It is a tremenous treat for all of us urban fantasy readers to discover him as the voice of Cal Leandros. Nightlife is a great start to a long series, I'm thinking a little Dresden, but a bit less mature and gets quite a bit wacky when the real baddie pops in about half way through the book (don't want to spoil it!) A fun listen. Hope we get to hear the whole series!
