Historia
French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte was not a man made for peacetime. By 1812 he had succeeded in subduing most of his enemies - though in Spain the British continued to be a perpetual thorn in his flank that drained the Empire of money and troops - but his relationship with Russia, never more than one of mutual suspicion at best, had now grown downright hostile.

Decent, But...
Revisado: 12-28-22
To be fair, this was close to what I was searching for... a brief summary of the Russian Campaign. However, the reader is very robot-like, to the point of being distracting. Also, the reader often mis-pronounces Russian, French and German names and places which, as a student of languages, I also found quite distracting.
Can only marginally recommend.

Historia
Keandra’s been around for a long time, outliving most Shadowrunners twice over. With a legacy of runs under her belt, she has the solid reputation and wisdom that comes with surviving the shadows longer than most. Looking for a way to cash in on her street cred, Keandra comes up with a novel idea: Why not set herself up as a Johnson?

Just OK

Monotonous reading spoils a decent story. Check out the author's previous audio book ("Shadowrun: Fire and Frost") which is excellent in both story and reading. Each character in that book is voiced uniquely and with flair, making them come to life. The standard to which future Shadowrun audiobooks should be held.

What if Stanley Kubrick left behind more than just his classic films? What if he also left behind an elaborate puzzle cleverly buried within his films, which would lead the player toward a treasure that could change the course of human history?

Not bad - but production quality suffered.

Good Story, Poor Production
Revisado: 05-09-21
I really enjoyed the story, and loved the extra insights into Kubrick's films. However, Frakes was not a good reader...too many weird pauses and his accent for Wilson makes no sense. Also, the arbitrary use of the extra actors was jarring.

Henry and his wife, Frances, have gone bamboo - living an idyllic, tequila-drenched life as two of the Caribbean's most charming expatriates (and professional assassins). Don't Bother

while I'm sure it was intended, there are no interesting characters in this book. The plot is at first a bit childish and violent, and later utterly forgettable. stick to Bourdain's nonfiction.
