Historia
This Audible Exclusive production revisits Charles Dickens’ tragi-comic novel Little Dorrit. Written during the Crimean War, it a story of fortunes won and lost and a masterly portrayal of the failings of Victorian Society, with the ever-present spectre of law enforcement and imprisonment looming over a fearful population. Divided into two parts, Book One: Poverty and Book Two: Riches, Little Dorrit satirises the debtors prisons and the detrimental effect of enforcing a British class system.

Absolutely phenomenal and a must-read
Revisado: 04-01-25
Absolutely phenomenal. I had watched the BBC show (which became an instant favorite) and was curious about the book. I was told that it was long, boring, and kind of depressing, but I decided to give it a shot.
The story is extremely captivating, packed with wit, truthful, and well-rounded. The characters are astonishingly well-written, (mostly) lovable, and hilarious. I was laughing out loud throughout the whole thing. It did not disappoint! I'm not a Dickens fan or anything and I enjoyed this book more than anything else I've read lately!
And don't get me started on the narrator! Her performance was flawless!
I very highly recommend!! Infinitely better than anything written in the last 50 years--and that's coming from a teenager!

Historia
Sir Charles Cartwright should have known better than to allow 13 guests to sit down for dinner. For at the end of the evening one of them is dead - choked by a cocktail that contained no trace of poison. Predictable, says Hercule Poirot, the great detective. But entirely unpredictable is that he can find absolutely no motive for murder.…

One of the Best

Great story! Got a little slow during the middle portion of the book, but the last part sucked me in. I was even able to guess the murderer, which almost never happens. Definitely recommend this!
