Historia
A Narc’s Tale is a four-book series that is a first-hand account of stories, written like a memoir or personal diary, which gives you an inside glimpse of what it is like working six years deep undercover in the dangerous drug world as a city cop (Vol. 1), county vice and narcotics investigator (Vol. 2 and 3), and special agent with the US Drug Enforcement Administration (Vol. 4). Most undercover books only show this from one perspective, but you will get three here - city, county and federal - and realize the differences among them.

I took the option of audiobooks on Amazon for this book. It made my 45 minute drive every morning entertaining. I put myself in the story as I heard it and could feel my palms get sweaty and my stomach getting weak. Watching movies is a lot different than hearing the actual accounts from someone that lived it. These brave men and women put their lives on the line day in and day out in and I appreciate what they do because I couldn’t do it. The book hits on mental preparation for this line of work. Probably more intense mental training as any professional athlete would have to go through for a big game. I was disappointed at the end of the book, only because I wanted to hear more stories :-)
I enjoyed this very much!
