Historia
One of Jane Austen's most popular novels. Arrogant, self-willed, and egotistical, Emma is her most unusual heroine.

Historia
In this classic book, Madeleine L’Engle addresses the questions, What makes art Christian? What does it mean to be a Christian artist? What is the relationship between faith and art? Through L’Engle’s beautiful and insightful essay, listeners will find themselves called to what the author views as the prime tasks of an artist: to listen, to remain aware, and to respond to creation through one’s own art.

Historia
Author of the National Book Award-winning All the Pretty Horses, Cormac McCarthy is one of the most provocative American stylists to emerge in the last century. The striking novel Blood Meridian offers an unflinching narrative of the brutality that accompanied the push west on the 1850s Texas frontier.

This audible reader presents an incredible novel that holds your attention even when you want to look away. I don’t think I will see westerns in the same way. As I finished listening, the whole of the book came to me - the sequence of events moving toward a destination. Exceptional.

Great presentation
Revisado: 06-11-23
My husband and I watched the HBO series on the D Day anniversary. I decided to listen to the book and it was wonderful. My only regret was the realization I should have asked my Dad about his experiences in the Pacixic theater. Wonderful recounting of these men’s experience. Next up - Richard Winters presentation.

They are icons of the literary world whose soaring works have been discussed and analyzed in countless classrooms, homes, and pubs. Yet for most readers, the living, breathing human beings behind the classics have remained unknown - until now. In this utterly captivating book, Dr. Elliot Engel, a leading authority on the lives of great authors, illuminates the fascinating and flawed members of literature’s elite. In lieu of stuffy biographical sketches, Engel provides fascinating anecdotes.

Historia
London 1899 and a matter of grave national importance. American impresario Florenz Adler, has rebuilt Shakespeare's Globe playhouse. The grand opening is to take place in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Victoria. Amid the excitement, the actors receive sinister warnings in the form of cryptic quotations from Shakespeare's plays and a drawing of a rose. A hoax? A literary joke? But not for long - the joke turns sour as the murders begin, each an exact copy of a death in a Shakespeare play.
