Historia
His passport read Giovanni Rossi. But decades ago, during the Urban Wars, he was part of a small, secret organization called The Twelve. Responding to an urgent summons from an old compatriot, he landed in New York and eased into the waiting car. And died within minutes… Lieutenant Eve Dallas finds the Rossi case frustrating. She’s got an elderly victim who’d just arrived from Rome; a widow who knows nothing about why he’d left; an as-yet unidentifiable weapon; and zero results on facial recognition.

Again!
Revisado: 02-26-25
J.D.Robb has done it again. The story, the investigation, the characters stood up once again to Evil like I have never imagined. The only thing I missed was Nadine but this book still gets and deserves 5 stars across the board.
Thank you for yet another amazing read. Now I can get some sleep. Can't wait for Eve and Rourke's next case.

Historia
Over twenty years ago, the heiress Patricia Lockwood was abducted during a robbery of her family's estate, then locked inside an isolated cabin for months. Patricia escaped, but so did her captors - and the items stolen from her family were never recovered. Until now. On the Upper West Side, a recluse is found murdered in his penthouse apartment, alongside two objects of note: a stolen Vermeer painting and a leather suitcase bearing the initials WHL3. For the first time in years, the authorities have a lead - with the suitcase and painting both pointing them toward one man.

Wow
Revisado: 01-19-25
I hope Harlan fans don't get offended But, I think this is the best book Mr. Coben has written. I mean. I love the Myron Bolitar series and I have read all of them several times. I have always wondered what the background story of Win was. This book really brought him out in such a personal way. I almost expect him to walk through my door one day. And the manner in which he solves this mystery including his own feelings is remarkable. I loved the entire book from the story to the performance and Win's voice is the best. The ending with Ema made me feel something I hadn't in a long time. I'm sorry I didn't read it sooner but it will be my go to book going forward. Thanks for providing me with this exceptional entertainment. Please write another Win story.

Excellent as Always
Revisado: 11-20-24
I think the Robert Hoskins stories are getting better and better. This is my second pass through these books and I again can't stop myself from going from one to another without pause.
I've shared these with my brother too and we spend hours discussing them. I admit I'm one book ahead of him so I need watch what I give away.
Tom Keller is one of my very favorite authors. And so I now go to book 5 in the series for a second time.
