Historia
For some reason, when it comes to complex issues, we’ve largely limited ourselves to just two options, resulting in a society of non-thinkers. After all, once you’ve picked a side, all the thinking has already been done for you. As an independent, libertarian voter who has spent the last ten years at Fox News, Kat has faced this issue too many times to count. She’s learned that surprising things can happen when you refuse to choose a team, especially when you work at a place some people call an existential threat to America.

This book is GREAT and I love that Kat reads it because it gives the book so much more personality. Kat makes her point well and we can all learn something from this book. Divided, we fall. We can't let them divide We, The People!

Historia
As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from the "space between lives", which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss' family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.

Historia
The Authority Gap provides a startling perspective on the unseen bias at work in our everyday lives, to reveal the scale of the gap that still persists between men and women. Would you believe that female US Supreme Court Justices are interrupted four times more often than male ones...96 percent of the time by men? Marshalling a wealth of data with precision and insight, and including interviews with pioneering women, Mary Ann Sieghart exposes unconscious bias in this fresh, feminist take on how to address and counteract systemic sexism in ways that benefit us all.

Must Read/Listen For All
Revisado: 09-28-22
The author integrates studies and personal stories to best demonstrate the gap that exists between the treatment of men and women, comparing many cultures and races across the globe. There is too much information on this subject to put into one book and I found myself still wanting more when I finished. If not already published or in the works, I'd like to see this author or their contemporaries continue to publish research and insight into this topic so we can continue to improve our local societies. We've got to start there.

Great Book on Body Language with Great Narration
Revisado: 04-14-22
Loved it; repetition without being laboriously repetitive (and I'll probably listen to it again). Great way to learn. Highly recommended for those interested in learning to read body language. Love how the author incorporates his personality and humor into the book, as well.

Brené Brown has spent the past two decades studying the emotions and experiences that give meaning to our lives, and the past seven years working with transformative leaders and teams spanning the globe. She found that leaders in organizations ranging from small entrepreneurial startups and family-owned businesses to nonprofits, civic organizations, and Fortune 50 companies all ask the same question: How do you cultivate braver, more daring leaders, and how do you embed the value of courage in your culture? This audiobook answers this question.

Great Read for Leaders in Any Position or Entity
Revisado: 12-30-20
Brene Brown tears leadership down to its core so that we, Leaders, can build upon the strong foundation she has studied and developed. I love when the author reads the book because there is an extra amount of enthusiasm in presenting the material and they can address things to the listener that may not be apparent to those of the reader (like charts). I highly recommend this book.

Essentialism is more than a time-management strategy or a productivity technique. It is a systematic discipline for discerning what is absolutely essential, then eliminating everything that is not, so we can make the highest possible contribution toward the things that really matter.

I loved listening to this reading of Essentialism. I couldn't wait to go to work so I could pick back up where I left off. I looked forward the positivity of Essentialism and, while I have strived for this, I am now better equipped to live it.
