Historia
Ancient Egyptian civilization is so grand our minds sometimes have difficulty adjusting to it. It lasted 3,000 years, longer than any other on the planet. Its Great Pyramid of Cheops was the tallest building in the world until well into the 19th century and remains the only Ancient Wonder still standing. And it was the most technologically advanced of the ancient civilizations, with the medical knowledge that made Egyptian physicians the most famous in the world.

Excellent History of Ancient Egypt
Revisado: 07-01-18
I read a lot of history and consider myself knowledgeable about ancient Egypt, but I learned a great many things from this course. I'm a fan of Great Courses and this is simply the best I have found so far. The lecturer is wonderful. This course is suitable for those who know nothing about the topic and those who know a great deal. I cannot recommend this course highly enough.

Historia
Mohenjo-daro was the largest city of the Indus Valley civilization, one of the most advanced civilizations ever to have existed, and the most ancient prehistoric urban site on the Indian subcontinent. It was a metropolis of great cultural, economic, and political importance that dates from the beginning of the 3rd millennium BCE. Although it flourished between approximately 2500 and 1500 BCE, the city had longer-lasting influences on the urbanization of the Indian subcontinent for centuries after its abandonment.

Narration way too fast
Revisado: 07-01-18
I stopped listening to this book after a few minutes because I felt as if I was being assaulted with information. The book is far too much like a text book, but what really ruined it for me was the narration. It was simply too fast. It was as if the narrator was trying to go through the text as quickly as possible. I think this narrator is capable of being excellent, but the speed was far too fast paced.
