Historia
Clyde Barr, the drifter with lethal skills, is alone again, wandering the highways of the American West in search of something to believe in. As summer turns to autumn, he trades his car for a horse and heads for the mountains, planning to clear his head and regain his edge with some hunting. But when he runs across an elderly sick man - a Ute Indian from a nearby reservation - Clyde's dream of solitude is quickly dashed.

A wonderful desert thriller
Revisado: 05-16-18
A damn good story, with an incredible narrator, and a wonderful main character, A Promise to Kill sees Clyde Barr, lost as ever, pulled into something much larger than anything he's ever dealt with before. While A Promise to Kill ditches the crime fiction grittiness at the heart of the first book in the series and exchanges it for a more standard thriller concept, Barr proves he has equally strong footing in both worlds. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Barr does next.
