The whole thing. Story, story teller, way it was told. It was done beautifully. I cried through the last 2 chapters. Good cry.

Historia
No one survived the last battle unscathed. Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don't recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I'm not sure I'll ever break through. Now war is coming, and we're not ready. We're going to need an army to have any hope of winning. But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers. Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us. And that's saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods.

Good, but the internal monologue…..
Revisado: 03-10-24
It’s a good story- but the internal monologue is soooo much that I find myself fast forwarding A LOT just to get to the story.
And pronouns? I thought that the wolf kid had multiple personalities for the first 1/2 of the book.
And, “to be honest” and “I’m not gonna lie” have been a “wee” bit overused with this series.

Great story…
Revisado: 03-08-24
Great story, characters, world building, etc. My ONLY annoyance is how very very descriptive and drawn out Grace gets when she is speaking inside her head about her feelings. I just have to fast forward through parts of her musings.
Otherwise it’s really good.

Could have been better with different narrator
Revisado: 09-03-23
Sorry, but the narrators - both female and male - destroyed this. The story, the intimate scenes, all of it. It could have been really great but I’ll never know bc even if I try to read it in print I can’t get their voices out of my head.
She ran through everything so fast and then used this matter of fact voice all of the time. And he used the stupidest voices for the multiple males. Maybe it was the writing, but I think not totally - granted there were some instances where I was like, “excuse me, what did you just tell Her do as she smiled and proceeded without even a question or a “huh, how?” I mean this is supposed to be all new territory to her - she’s not a professional, so you’d think she’d be a “teencey” bit questioning. The male voices and how they responded to her in certain intimate situations were just dumb and dufusey.

Finally doing it!!
Revisado: 02-06-23
I am finally reading through the whole bible! No starting and then stopping at Leviticus! I have always wanted and tried but I couldn't stay focused and follow/understand what was happening. This is the greatest podcast of all time! Father Mike you are incredible. Your breakdown and explanations at the end of each episode are literally teaching me God's word and what the bible is saying. I've always felt so inadequate and like such a Christian wanna-be I guess. I went to a private Chistian school K-8 and then a private catholic high school. I know many bible stories and lessons but I never truly knew or understood who was writing/saying these things, how they came to be part of the story or why. I have told so many people about this podcast. I am praying that one day in the "nearer" future my teenage sons will take my advice and also listen to this podcast. You don't have to be Catholic to listen to this podcast - I'm not. If you have ever wanted to just learn and try to UNDERSTAND what is being said then this is the best resource ever. I did not discover this podcast until about February, and then I wasn't listening every day, but that's ok - I was able to binge listen (which I loved!) and I am now all caught up and on the same page. I get giddy when it pops up on my phone that today's episode is up! I will be re-listening to this podcast for years. Thank you Fr. Mike for this incredible thing you are doing - things are shifiting, my eyes are opening, I am FINALLY learning and understanding. Thank you for praying for me, I AM praying for you.

Great story!
Revisado: 09-13-22
First Colleen Hoover book and I loved it. The story kept me intrigued (and horrified) right up until the very last word. Fantastic plot and ending.
My only criticism is the narrators. Verity voice was spot on when she was Verity. I could totally picture this character. I think she fell short when she was Jeremey though. Just sounded like a woman trying to lower her voice and sound like a man - not saying I could do any better! But it kind of killed some of it, especially the “sexy scenes”. For Lowe I thought she sounded fine, but again when she did Jeremey is just sounded too conversational at times, especially at moments when there is supposed to be a bit more drama or urgency or emotion. It didn’t kill the book, but I’ve listened to so many others where the voice actually makes the story come alive.
All in all still a great book and a good listen.

Eh, it was ok. I actually hate Adam and I was soooooo ticked off with Rachel for pretty much 98% of the book. I actually yelled out loud in my car a few times.

Historia
When love reigns supreme in Northridge High just outside Chicago, by the lake, it happens beneath the soft, pink-infused spotlights hovering over that most special night of the year - prom night. Passable in Pink is an Audible Original from New York Times best-selling author Mike Sacks (Stinker Lets Loose!). Sacks has teamed up once again with director Eric Jason Martin (Stinker Lets Loose!, Heads Will Roll) to adapt a forgotten John Hughes-type 1983 movie into a fully immersive cinematic audio experience, with an epic all-star cast.

Waste of a credit
Revisado: 11-25-19
Wanted to love it. Chucked occasionally, rolled my eyes a good bit, mainly was questioning myself “why are you still listening to this”. Again, some observations were funny but most were over the top middle schoolish. Overall I didn’t feel like it was a great mish mash of these classic 80’s movies. It was like a “C- version” of a Leslie Neilson spoof (and I loved His movies)

Historia
Jane’s days at a Midwest insurance company are perfectly ordinary. She blends in well, unremarkably pretty in her floral-print dresses and extra efficient at her low-level job. She’s just the kind of woman middle manager Steven Hepsworth likes - meek, insecure, and willing to defer to a man. No one has any idea who Jane really is. Least of all Steven. But plain Jane is hiding something. And Steven’s bringing out the worst in her.

Revisado: 03-22-19
I really loved this book. I loved the way everything was described and what was going on in her head. I thought it was ingenious that she was a sociopath but not your Mr. Ripley type. I enjoyed learning about her and how she disassociated and how she went through the world. It was just a very good listen
