Historia
Hollywood & Crime is a groundbreaking true crime series about the most infamous murders in Tinseltown history. In our 26-episode series opener "The Black Dahlia Serial Killers", host Tracy Pattin investigates the sensational unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short. Known as the Black Dahlia, Short was a star-struck young woman whose body was found completely severed at the waist in January 1947. Many remember her tragic story, yet few know that more than a dozen other women died in similar circumstances around that same time.

Well done and interesting
Revisado: 08-20-23
Very interesting, but I'm not sure that the ending works as well as it could except as a transition to the next segment. Nevertheless, it's the highest quality, very interesting and well conceived, produced, and delivered.

Very engaging. It's quite nice that Dr. Brown reads most of the books. Always learn something too!

Historia
It is 1946, and a stunned Europe is beginning its slow recovery from the ravages of World War II. Adam Miller has come to Venice to visit his widowed mother and try to forget the horrors he has witnessed as a U.S. Army war crimes investigator in Germany. Nothing has changed in Venice, not the beautiful palazzi, not the violins at Florian's, not the shifting water that makes the city, untouched by bombs, still seem a dream.

good listen!
Revisado: 01-05-22
It would better if producers stopped abridged stories. I purchase because I love the books and the authors. Feedback on the story- protagonist is a bit sanctimonious and and a hypocrite, considering his actions. Wonder how not wrapping up that moral loose end got by beta readers? or was it authorial intent. Excellent moral delimna.

Love the author and looked forward to the new book. Changing the narrator was a mistake in my opinion. Asking for my credit back.

Historia
No outsiders are ever admitted to the monastery of Saint-Gilbert-Entre-les-Loups, hidden deep in the wilderness of Quebec, where two dozen cloistered monks live in peace and prayer. They grow vegetables, they tend chickens, they make chocolate. And they sing. Ironically, for a community that has taken a vow of silence, the monks have become world-famous for their glorious voices, raised in ancient chants whose effect on both singer and listener is so profound it is known as “the beautiful mystery.”

One of my favorite books but this is an intolerable reading. I'd ask for a refund for the first time on Audible. Go for Villette but skip this performance.
