Historia
Dare Buckley has come home - or at least, he's come back to Palladian, the small town he left as a teenager. After a major lapse in judgment forced him to resign from the Seattle PD, Palladian is the only place that'll hire him. There's one benefit to hitting rock bottom, though: the chance to investigate the mystery of his father's suicide.

Solid Meh...
Revisado: 01-04-22
This was just ok. The story line was ok, the mystery bit was ok, narrator....ok. Character development...ok. Ending...flat and predictable. It lacked explanation where needed and gave too much in others. The "smexy times" felt empty and cold. The narrator rushed thru almost sounding angry he had to read it. An overall disappointment. Can't honestly recommend it.

Historia
I’m in control of my life. That has become Burke’s mantra. He lost control somewhere along the way, descending into a downward spiral until he hit rock bottom. Now he’s back, sober, and determined to never be in that position again. Ever. That’s why he loves being a dominant. He’s in charge. He can plan everything into detail. He’s in control. Until he runs into Wander, a private security guy who volunteers to become Burke’s mentor in the club. Wander questions him, challenges him, pushes and prods and pokes until Burke stands with his back against the wall.

Amazing Story...Horrible Narrator
Revisado: 12-20-21
I was so looking forward to this after reading the No Shame series. I wanted more of Wander's story and was so glad to see Ms. Phoenix didn't disappoint. I'm hoping this is the beginning of another flaming hot series. I can't wait to see what happens next between Wander, Burke and the rest of the team.
What lost the star for me was the narrator. I actively avoid anything with Mr. Solo as his narrations tend to seriously grate on me. I thought I would give this a try though. I was seriously disappointed. He didn't do justice at all to the author's well thought out, creative and steamy "bedroom" scenes and at times sounded downright robotic in his reading. Hopefully if this becomes a full serious they will find another narrator. I might suggest Mr. Russo or Mr. Dean. If not, I'll have to skip the audio book and read it instead.

Historia
Towards the end of the 19th century and for the first few years of the 20th, a strange invasion took place in Britain. The citadel of power, privilege, and breeding in which the titled, land-owning governing class had barricaded itself for so long was breached. The incomers were a group of young women who, 50 years earlier, would have been looked on as the alien denizens of another world - the New World, to be precise. From 1874 - the year that Jennie Jerome, the first known "Dollar Princess", married Randolph Churchill - to 1905, dozens of young American heiresses married into the British peerage....

Just ok
Revisado: 02-12-20
The book itself was informative and interesting but the narrator was all wrong. at times she sounded almost robotic. other times it was like she couldn't decide if she wanted to read in an English accent or an American one. I'm returning it because I can't imagine listening to her monotone voice again.

Historia
Written only months before Austen's death in 1817, Sanditon tells the story of the joyously impulsive, spirited, and unconventional Charlotte Heywood and her spiky relationship with the humorous, charming (and slightly wild!) Sidney Parker. When a chance accident transports her from her rural hometown of Willingden to the would-be coastal resort of the eponymous title, it exposes Charlotte to the intrigues and dalliances of a seaside town on the make, and the characters whose fortunes depend on its commercial success.

Wonderful beginning...horrible ending!
Revisado: 02-04-20
This story was completely different than any other Jane Austin novel I've ever read I was hooked immediately...that being said, Kate Riordan should be ashamed at the way she finished this story. Ms. Austin never let her readers down, she always gave them a happy ending. Riordan does the exact opposite. I was completely disappointed with the ending and even wondered if there might have been chapters missing. Alas, no, the end was in fact the end. It was nothing like what Ms. Austin would have written and I'm pretty sure she's turning over in her grave. I cannot recommend this to anyone who is even a small fan of Jane Austin. Don't waste your time and money on this, it will only let you down.

Awful
Revisado: 10-09-18
Thankfully the was free. I would be angry if I spent money on it. It's as if the author took the best 3 sentences from each chapter of a longer book, mashed them together and called it a story. Don't waste your time lisyening, it's not worth it.
