Historia
Novelist Sheri Reynolds weaves lyrical prose and folksy dialogue into her spellbinding tales. The Rapture of Canaan, a New York Times best-seller, is the moving story of a teenaged girl clashing with her harshly controlled world. Growing up in a closed religious community deep in the rural South, 15-year-old Ninah Huff painstakingly and obediently follows her church’s many rules—she knows that public humiliation follows the smallest transgression

Historia
On the morning of Wolf Truly's 18th birthday, he boards the first cable car to head up the mountains just a few miles from his sun-bleached trailer home outside of Palm Springs. Wolf's intention that morning was to give up on life - specifically at the mountain site of his best friend's tragic accident one year ago. But on that shaky ride up the mountain, fate intervenes and Wolf meets three women that will leave an indelible imprint on the rest of his life. The four wind up lost and stranded among the forested cliffs - in sight of the desert city below, but unable to find a way down.

Historia
With depth, heart, and agility, debut novelist Mira Jacob takes us on a deftly plotted journey that ranges from 1970s India to suburban 1980s New Mexico to Seattle during the dot.com boom. The Sleepwalker’s Guide to Dancing is an epic, irreverent testimony to the bonds of love, the pull of hope, and the power of making peace with life’s uncertainties.

Great story and characters

Loved everything about this book! I usually like an author narration but certain voices were a bit grating-almost like caricature BUT this was the author’s vision.

Historia
Nineteen-year-old Avery Delacorte loves the water. Growing up in Brookline, Massachusetts, she took swim lessons at her community pool and captained the local team; in high school, she raced across bays and sprawling North American lakes. Now a sophomore on her university's nationally ranked team, she struggles under the weight of new expectations, but life is otherwise pretty good. Perfect, really.

Intense

This was a reread for me with the audio version. I’m glad I had read it as a book because the story is powerful. Unfortunately the narration created a very different feeling (too theatrical ?) which I don’t think I would have gotten if I had reread in book version. That said, I can be very picky about narration.
