Actually, 3.5 stars. This one was a rough one for me to make it through. I'm not giving a synopsis because anyone can read the blurb to see what it's about.
If the book had ended and left off the last 1/4 I would give it 3 stars because I was completely disgusted by the male and female leads throughout most of the book. They were by far my least favorite characters of all time. I didn't see any need to like them at all.
Without giving anything away, I wanted to throw up for the most part. Toward the end, the book leveled out and I started to pull for the two to be together but could never completely forgive them. Good thing that I'm a sucker for HEA.
The narrators did an excellent job.

Wonderful love story

You don't always need a 500-page book to tell a story and that's what we get in this short love story, I feel the character development was just enough, any more and it would have just been fluff. This is a second chance romance with a happily ever after ending my favorite kind.

Samantha Cook and Zackary Webber are the best. Matt was a millionaire playboy wall street phenom. Sabrina was a strong-willed independent fixer, kind of like Olivia Pope of Scandal. They were perfect for each other and had been frenemies with benefits for the last couple of years. Both had marriage phobia/commitment issues because of their backgrounds.
Matt got into some trouble that required a fixer and hired Sabrina because he didn't want any women that could possibly fall in love with him. Well needless to say in the end this presented a problem for everyone. It was fun and interesting to see how they got around the situation and I loved it

5 Star Love Story

I laughed, I cried, then really cried at the beautiful ending. Lany and Dean had a one night stand during the summer. They lost contact because they didn't expect anything but a one night stand and they didn't exchange phone numbers. Three months later they ran into each other again when they realized that Dean was Lany's son Janson's teacher and what happens afterward is a wonderfully funny memorable love story.

I had trouble with the female narrator. I totally disliked the heroine because the narrator's tone was vicious throughout and she sounded like she was whispering throughout the book. Also, her voice tended to be sing sung, it would go up at the end of a sentence. Whenever she started talking I would cringe. I hate to complain but it was very annoying. I loved the male narrator, and Lincoln his character was perfect. Whitney was kind of pitiful with no backbone. I hope that she develops one soon.

Up in the Air, similar type of characters.

What about Jennifer Stark and William Munt ’s performance did you like?

I liked how Jennifer Stark spoke the character and brought her to life. I have never disliked a narrator like I did William Munt. He almost destroyed this book for me. He over dramatized the entire reading. His word inflections were all wrong and he sounded like he was reading a Shakespeare play. HE WAS AWFUL!!!

I hate to be rude but I 'll never listen to another story narrated by William Munt.

Who was your favorite character and why?

That's hard but I guess Tamar because she should have been and probably was as broken as Lyrik but she always had hope

Which scene was your favorite?

When Lyrik finally realized that he could love Tamara and he came for her.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Lyrik left his child behind the first time.

This story has such promise but all Ashley can talk about is how much Jake hurt her. It's been 5 years. Get over it let it go. She' a broken record.!she had a right to be angry but she's sickening
