Blame the mother paranoid schizophrenia and sexual psychosis
Revisado: 04-04-25
Maybe, just maybe, Kemper’s mother locked him downstairs away from his sisters because he was killing cats and other animals, and decapitating his sister’s dolls. My numerous brothers never did any of this. “Gentle giant” was wired to hurt, rape, and kill. Ressler & Douglas just perpetuate misogyny when likely women knew these boys / men were pathologically wired. Others pick up on this and further perpetuate these unreliable narrator stories.

Historia
Due to Sullivan’s extensive writing about Ted Bundy, he’s become a sort of magnet over the years, drawing out many people who were part of the Bundy story but have otherwise kept a low profile over the decades. These first-person contacts continue to this day. As such, this is the first book in a new series of books whose aim is to bring new revelations to the public about Bundy, the victims, the murders, and the almost murders that failed Bundy for one reason or another.

Author spent a lot of time referring to his other books. Not impressed, to be honest, and not interested in buying and reading his other publications. There are other excellent & detailed books out there.

Historia
When the bodies of three teenagers were found on the shores of Lake Waco, Texas, in July 1982, even seasoned lawmen were taken aback by the savage mutilation and degradation to which they had been subjected. Yet only 52 days after the gruesome triple-murder was discovered, frustrated authorities suspended the case indefinitely. Patrol Sergeant Truman Simons, who had been called to the scene that night, saw the carnage firsthand - and vowed to find the ferocious killer or killers. He soon became a man with a mission, risking his career and his family's safety in search of evidence.

They don’t talk about this in Waco!
Revisado: 11-27-24
What is wrong with Waco? I did some doctoral work at Baylor but something is wrong with that region/State and I didn’t hear about this sadness. Extremely well researched, written, and read, those who don’t appreciate detail or age of reader should stick with old, now deceased Ann Rule, as her kids battle over her estate because they’re too lazy to earn their own living.. I have no sympathies for Koresh or his pedophile followers, but my niece and I did find an awesome mammoth excavation dig to view. As this book denotes, people who think they live in the “Bible Belt” don’t practice scholarly biblical practice. They’re just messed up. Like the brother of one victim said of the perp executed, “just die”. And I was gratified the rest of the perps died in forthcoming years. I have the sense a few others knew but were too cowardly to come forward.
Encourage the highest levels of education for your kids so they don’t end up like these perp losers, and thank God for the police that share info willingly instead of those that wanted to close this case unsolved. Their families must be embarrassed.

Historia
For 20 years Daniel Paquette's murder in New Hampshire went unsolved. It remained a secret between two high school friends until Eric Windhurst's arrest in 2005. What was revealed was a crime born of adolescent passion between Eric and Daniel's stepdaughter, Melanie - redefining the meaning of loyalty, justice, and revenge.

Disgusting story of raping 10 yo girls
Revisado: 08-17-24
How many times do we have to listen to legally sufficient evidence of cruel stepfathers raping their stepdaughters from the age of 10 years old on? The legal system consistently ignores this horror. A 17 yo boy killed to protect his high school friend and is convicted as an adult while the vile pedophile family who likely was aware of his actions manipulates the court along with judge, prosecutor, and others. These evil men prey on the young again and again. A thoroughly unsatisfying book and shame on New Hampshire.

A Singular Work
Revisado: 01-20-24
If this book hadn’t been written most of us would not have the glimpse into Jeffrey MacDonald’s depraved soul. The research and evidence is extensive, the narration of difficult content measured. The abuse of our judicial system by this narcissistic family annihilator and the pandering to his ego by those he bamboozled is appalling recounted. The defense manipulations of a chronic drug-addict in trying to bribe and pay her into a confession while promising book and movie deals is stomach-churning. Ultimately this makes one grateful for the author’s integrity. Janice Malcolm is the poster child for playing groupie to a quadruple murderer (counting the fetus he also killed) and the decline in current, investigative journalism. Her manipulations on a greater industry have wreaked as much, if not more havoc left in the trail of battered innocents.

Historia
In this powerful true crime memoir, an award-winning identity theft expert tells the shocking story of the duplicity and betrayal that inspired her career and nearly destroyed her family. Axton Betz-Hamilton grew up in small-town Indiana in the early '90s. When she was 11 years old, her parents both had their identities stolen. Their credit ratings were ruined, and they were constantly fighting over money. This was before the age of the Internet, when identity theft became more commonplace, so authorities and banks were clueless and reluctant to help Axton's parents.

This book angered me
Revisado: 09-17-23
Obvious from early on her and her mother are grifters, stealing from the father and playing the “poor me” card right through sales of this ‘book.’ Most of us work and pay for our own education, taking breaks in-between to pay down debt, but not you two. Staggered that you continue to play the “we were just poor farmers” card, siphoning private high-school tuition funds from daddy, manipulating your way into Purdue and not even asking for police reports. Poor research, grift of a dissertation and career.

What a first-class sponge.
Revisado: 08-18-22
These interviews clearly capture the psychopathy and uselessness of this guy. He obviously holds himself in esteem, but never held down a job or completed anything well. He obviously hates women and states that he kills them to vent his rage. Interviewers do a good job of holding his feet to the fire, pointing out that he blames his circumstances on everyone else - nothing is ever his fault. It made it easier going through these interviews knowing how desperate he became in his final days when it was too late for him. He rails and opines against justice as if his opinion on anything mattered. Glad he’s off this earth as they all should be.
