Historia
After saving the grim and gritty alien city of Down Here from something big, mean, and mind-bendingly horrible, Dan is looking forward to unwinding in the closest available bar. Annoyingly, the universe has other ideas. Instead, Dan finds himself investigating a cheating husband, two horrible murders, and the potential enslavement of everyone in the galaxy. With his caseload stretching his woefully limited detective skills, his car in pieces, and the whole "being dead" thing not doing him any favors, Dan has no choice but to ask his friends for help.

At first I was concerned as most sequels I have read are disappointing or worse. I'm glad this wasn't one of those.

My name is Cain Sthyldor, a former assassin for the fae. I've met Death in person, I'm cursed by Cthulhu, know a gorgon, and have a pet octopus named Fred. I may not be a wizard from Chicago, an iron druid on the run, a hot-tempered maker who hates Girl Scouts, or part of a destructive duo from New York City, but I guarantee you'll be entertained.

I bought the book because I was told it got better over time, but how much longer will I have to wait?

What would you do if you woke up in another world? That's exactly the problem facing Alex Burke, a recently employed security guard who accidentally finds himself falling through an ancient teleportation gate. When he opens his eyes, he discovers a world of magic, elves, monsters, and demons, not all of which are eager to meet him. I got it for free....
Revisado: 03-27-22
and I still want a refund. I don't know where to start. The book is flatout juvenile with characters that flatter than cardboard. The narrator tries, and I feel bad for him as there better things to do. The author really needs to go outside and touch some grass. Even IF the idea of this book was to be a softcore porn power fantasy I'd still say this novel was a waste of everyone's time.

Historia
Luke is a straightforward man. There are only a few things he wants in life: Levels, things to fight to gain levels, and finding Cookie, so he can fight things more efficiently. Yet, the other members of his team are ready for some relaxation, and fun in the sun. After all, there should be huge perks that come with stopping an invasion in its tracks. But surprisingly, being famous for making the Kingdom wealthy and powerful has its downsides. Namely, there is now a huge price on their heads. The Four soon find themselves searching for a way to pit their power against the world.

Historia
Whoever said that nothing ever happens in a small town clearly never visited Dearmont, Maine. It's getting hotter than hell around here. When the dead start crawling out of their graves, you know something's up. If there's one thing I hate more than zombies, it's having my memories erased by magic. That's a real bummer, right? So when I get a chance to break the spell that's locked away part of my mind, I take it, even if it means dabbling with ancient Egyptian sorcery. Big mistake.

I love concept and story. The narrator carries book very well. My only gripe is the books are so short. Like just when its getting good it drops.

Didn't grab me
Revisado: 07-18-21
I admit, I accidentally started here in the series; however, that shouldn't stop me from wanting to catch up. The writer seems conflicted on what story he wants to tell and substitutes the issue by weaving three subpar stories that do not go anywhere. The real redemption is the narrator's passion pushing the story forward. If anything that's should be worth a listen.

Don't judge a audiobook by its cover art
Revisado: 03-07-21
This books description and actual story a widely different. the synopsis makes it sound like it's some devilish Rogue Survival Story of a man thrown into another world and a chance to redo his life over again. in reality it's a power fantasy for everyone's favorite Gary Stu. nothing in this story well actually in danger our hero, nobody will question his morals, and in the end there is no personal battle within himself other than a chapter long moping session. the only reason I would ever want to read any other of his stories it's because of the production team behind this audiobook give 110% when really they just needed 5%.

Over before it began
Revisado: 01-30-21
The ending really took me off Guard. Just when things were reaching a climatic climax the story just drops. Like a to be continued type of drop leaving me feeling cheated out of my money. The story is well written, if you disregard some sudo science, and the narrator makes you want to listen to more. Its a just shame the book has a poor ending without any REAL conclusion.

Historia
Gabriel Delling might call himself a professional con artist, but when walking superstitions start trying to bite his face off, his charm is shockingly unhelpful. It turns out living nightmares almost never appreciate a good joke. Together with a succubus who insists on constantly saving his life, Gabe desperately tries to survive a new reality that suddenly features demons, legends, and a giant locust named Dale - all of whom pretty much hate his guts. And when an ancient horror comes hunting for a spirit locked in his head, Gabe finds himself faced with the excruciating choice between death...or becoming some kind of freaking hero.

Revisado: 01-15-21
Honestly, I have to come back to the book a few times because the story took way too long to get started. It gets very interesting towards the end, but its one hell of a steep slope to get there.
