Main character so annoying! Sex scenes trash.

First off- one of the main characters is mid 20’s but NEVER acts older than 15 yrs old. Her voice sounds 12. It’s gross especially when she is having sex scenes.
The sex scenes were trashy. Not classy or intoxicating at all. Written as if someone has never had a real intimate moment. Or were written by a guy that thinks he knows women.
I typically finish a 20 hr audio book within a few days. This took weeks because I just couldn’t stand the main characters voice and how idiotic she was written.
This ended on a cliffhanger so part of me is curious but I just don’t think I can endure more…
Had potential but isn’t it.
Personally don’t think this is worth the credit.

As someone who went through a very intense, long, crazy divorce; I relate to this book so much. I I had a lot of moments of “yep, I relate”.
Well written. I really enjoyed this book. Glad I decided to listen to it. I almost finished it without pause because I became so invested so quickly. Great job!

I was really interested in this story, but I couldn’t stand the narrator long enough to even finish a chapter. He’s so monotoned! His voice and the way he talks just makes my skin crawl. So I’ve returned the book because I won’t ever be able to stand it. Disappointed! This guy should find a different job!

Loved this series till book 4.

In book 4 the series changed from what I loved. The characters suddenly changed into different people. Like starting acting/behaving in way that didn’t fit with the previous books. I started to really dislike the main characters. They just suddenly were really crappy.

Great story but narrator is hard to bare.

I have read/listened to the full series of Sword of Truth. I found Terry Goodkind is so repetitive! He recaps and repeats way too much. It’s really irritating.
The narrator is horrible! You can hear him constantly swallowing. It sounds like he just ate and there’s food in his teeth that he’s picking at. He sounds like he’s desperate for a drink but hasn’t taken one. I found all his mouth noises similar to nails on a chalkboard. He shouldn’t be doing this... Had to take breaks just to unwind from the irritation of those sounds.
