Historia
Kate Middleton’s life story seems like a modern-day fairy tale. An attractive, clever, and ambitious girl from unexceptional beginnings meets and falls in love with a wealthy prince when they are both college undergraduates. Now, with the British monarchy in transition, Catherine is destined to become the first “commoner Queen” in British history since Anne Hyde, wife of James II.

Historia
Kate Parker knows what she’s getting into when she marries billionaire businessman Hank Tudor—she’s his sixth wife, after all, and was by his side (as his assistant) when his fifth marriage to actress Caitlyn Howard fell apart. But honeymoon plans go awry when a headless body is discovered near Hank’s summer home, forcing Kate to contend with two more of his exes: Catherine Alvarez—the first—who lives as a shut-in with her computers; and Anna Klein—the fourth—who runs a bed-and-breakfast where she and her wife keep a steady eye on things—particularly Hank’s children, Lizzie and Teddy.

Do not waste you money or credit
Revisado: 04-25-24
The premise was good ... historical characters set in real time but the author either needed better writing skills or a better editor. The book is slow slow slow. The reader has the same voice for every character and with a book where there are lots of characters, that is not a good thing. Overall, I say give this book a pass. If I could have gotten my money refunded, I would have. Certainly it makes me rethink buying books here instead of using my credits.

Historia
This is the story of how King Charles was shaped and moulded by his heritage. His mother was the woman he always loved but could never be close to. As Queen she held the Pandora’s box of the crown and all he could do was wait and learn. In his mother’s old age, he finally received the affection and respect from her he had craved for so long. This book documents his life through many personal anecdotes from his family and his friends from the moment the guns saluted his birth until St. Edwards Crown was placed on his head and he was officially declared as the King at his Coronation.

A confusing chunk of facts
Revisado: 02-15-24
If you are wanting a book that is chronological in order, do not get this book. Every chapter is just miscellaneous stories tossed in and stirred. It is bizarre. "Overall, it's a decent books with a little new info.

I really wanted to like this book
Revisado: 11-02-23
Unfortunately, this book just comes off as a story of person who knows he is doing the wrong thing but does it over and over again. I am not an addict but having grown up with an alcoholic father and my ex-husband was an alcoholic, I understand how they operate. This seems to go beyond anything I experienced. He complains and is afraid to be alone, yet he drives off everyone. As a reviewer said before me, I think I liked Chandler Bing; Matthew Perry not so much. He seemed to treat every woman that drifted through his life like crap. That being said, I hope he rests in peace. God knows, he lived in his own hell here on earth.

Where does one go, you might ask, when the world falls apart? When the immutable facts of your life—the mundane, the trivial, the take-for-granted minutiae that once filled every second of every day—suddenly disappear? Where does one go in such dire and unexpected circumstances? I went home, of course.

Good book but ...
Revisado: 07-18-23
...it's about an hour too long. I think a little better editing might help this book a great deal. It was seriously draggy in a few places, including the end. The reader was great! I did enjoy the story and give it a solid 3.5.

Awful
Revisado: 03-28-23
This book is simply awful. The read sounds asleep. The story is skewed against the Windsors. I’d bet the Queen Mother was the source if she were still alive.

Historia
It was a glittering event full of A-listers, hosted by Eliza Lane and Brant Fitzhugh, a celebrity couple who’d conquered both Hollywood and Broadway. And now Eve Dallas has made her entrance—but not as a guest. After raising a toast, Fitzhugh fell to the floor and died, with physical symptoms pointing to cyanide, and the police have crashed the party. From all accounts, he wasn’t the kind of star who made enemies. Everyone loved him—even his ex-wife. And since the champagne cocktail that killed him was originally intended for Eliza, it’s possible she was the real target.

Meh
Revisado: 02-19-23
The plot was different which was good but overall ... very lackluster and very disappointing. I have listened to EVERY book in this series and this was just JD Robb sliding in on her name. There was very little Rourke, no Marvis and very little of her department. It was pretty dull. The last couple of books have been like this and I am beginning to think it's time for Eve to get knocked up and end the series on a high note because these books are nothing like the early years and while I am glad the drama from her childhood isn't the main theme, I miss the excitement of how the series started.

Not great, but not awful
Revisado: 11-27-22
I enjoyed the first two books so much and this third volume turned out to be a bit of a let down. It's not like we didn't know how it would end but there was a lot of in this book that really wasn't necessary and repetitive. I think she could have made a satisfactory story in two volumes with some good editing.

Disappointing to say the least
Revisado: 09-02-22
I was so eager to read this book, that I pre-ordered it. I wish I had my credit back. It shouldn't have taken almost 8 hrs into the book for the main character to become semi-likeable. In some ways, it made me think of how Pete Sampras probably felt when his records started falling but he at least had the good sense not to try to recapture his youth.
