I was hoping for a good analysis of The Hobbit and to draw parallels to God’s word.

Confusing
Revisado: 08-04-24
Bouncing around time lines and different actors playing the younger or older characters is confusing. The performance was good.

Excellent story!

I am enjoying the story. This is a new twist on the virtual reality meets AD&D. I enjoy the premise of the story line with the rich array of characters. Be warned, the language can be a little rough, which is accurate for the times used, but not always suitable for the wife and grandkids. 😉

Historia
Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting. After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived. Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers.

Confusing
Revisado: 08-04-23
I found the book enjoyable at times, but confusing at others. There are so many characters, lots and lots of jumping around. In book 1 you have two brothers separated by a tragedy and each brother's character, friends, and villains are fully explored. I wish I had read this in written form because then I could have flipped back and confirmed who was speaking or being spoken about. The author has a wonderful take on magic I have never read but again information is doled out slowly and always incompletely.
While I am very curious about what happens next, it is not worth a credit to find out.

My sister and I are human orphans raised by the world’s best assassin, taught to steal and kill our way through the dragonlands under her watchful eye. Grown men fear us, and no one knows we’re coming until it’s too late to run. Irena and I - we’re good. The best. In a dog-eat-dragon kind of world, we have to be. But someone betrayed us. Someone we trusted with our lives.

Very slooow. Seems to target female listeners.
Revisado: 11-12-22
I generally do not ‘dis’ on authors as they do what few of us can. And while this story is well written, it does not fit the genre, IMHO. The premise of the story is outstanding. However the slow progress and constant reminders of past plot points are unbearable. I stopped in the middle of the sex chapter, it felt like a 20 minute discussion of someone free falling from a cliff. We know how it will end, get there. Definitely too touchy feely for me. Thank God it was free. I could not finish it.

Great story. Fair performances.
Revisado: 01-06-22
Another great read!! However the performance will leave you lacking. The story is read well but this narrator is several levels below the original narrator. I had to keep telling myself to focus on the story. Definitely won’t be listening to this more than once. I am tempted to get a refund but don’t want to ding the author if this was out of his control.
