Historia
At the height of World War II, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, was home to 75,000 residents, consuming more electricity than New York City. But to most of the world, the town did not exist. Thousands of civilians - many of them young women from small towns across the South - were recruited to this secret city, enticed by solid wages and the promise of war-ending work. Kept very much in the dark, few would ever guess the true nature of the tasks they performed each day in the hulking factories in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains.

Wonderfully Informative!

I love hearing about WWII so this title peaked my interest immediately. I am normally a bit leery of nonfiction though because sometimes those tend to drag. Not this one. It is written much like a story and has characters to follow throughout the years of the war. You also get a interesting take (and history lesson) on not only the war, but the race to end it with the Manhattan Project. Definitely worth a listen! Enjoy!

Historia
Written at the request of Charles Dickens, North and South is a book about rebellion that poses fundamental questions about the nature of social authority and obedience. Gaskell expertly blends individual feeling with social concern and her heroine, Margaret Hale, is one of the most original creations of Victorian literature. When Margaret Hale's father leaves the Church in a crisis of conscience she is forced to leave her comfortable home in the tranquil countryside of Hampshire....

It is similar to a Jane Austin story but it has its own merits! Wonderful!

Historia
For someone who made a career out of oversharing on the Internet, Tyler Oakley has a shocking number of personal mishaps and shenanigans to reveal in his first book: He experienced a legitimate rage blackout in a Cheesecake Factory; he had a fashion stand-off with the White House Secret Service; he crashed a car in front of his entire high school in an Arby's uniform; he projectile vomited while bartering with a grandmother.

I am fairly new to watching the tyler oakley youtube channel and I kept hearing about his book in his videos and from other youtubers as well...so I just had to check it out. I ended up listening to it during my thanksgiving road trip home and I have to say that I laughed my butt off at some points and wanted to cry at others. I really enjoyed getting to know the Queen behind the youtube persona. Enjoy the book! I did! :)
Tyler, thanks for shaking up the world and being a positive influence. You're awesome! Btw...you asked for our twitter handles...@rkwhofan1172139. Have an awesome day!
