An Air Avatar to Remember

Having gone through the Kiyoshi books before this, I was excited to see what sort of story they’d bring this time and I was not disappointed. The era that Yangchen lives presents a unique set of challenges for an Airbender avatar. This book grabbed me and held onto me until the end, and did once more the second time I listened. I may have a new favorite Airbender Avatar with Yangchen.

Disappointed

First, I want to say that I love this series, I'm just disappointed in this story. I love Kevin and have looked forward to his story but this wasn't all that I hoped for. I can't imagine anyone not knowing if their family member was dead or alive focusing on sex and letting it distract them from all they needed to do to ensure the safety of their loved one(s). It made both characters seem shallow and I found some of the emotional leaps made by the characters to be unrealistic. Just a little too neat and tidy for real life. I hope Jack's story doesn't follow the same path.
