Historia
After a decade-long addiction to crack cocaine and alcohol, Charlie Engle hit bottom with a near-fatal six-day binge that ended in a hail of bullets. As Engle got sober, he turned to running, which became his lifeline, his pastime, and his salvation. He began with marathons, and when marathons weren't far enough he began to take on ultramarathons, races that went for 35, 50, and sometimes hundreds of miles, traveling to some of the most unforgiving places on earth to race.

Where does Running Man rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I couldn't stop listening to this book, the story completely sucked me in. So glad the author read it too!

What did you love best about A Race Like No Other?
I loved this book, I read it years ago and it was just as exciting to listen to. This book is a great visualization strategy for anyone running the marathon.

Historia
The Brave Athlete solves the 13 most common mental conundrums athletes face in their everyday training and in races. You don't have one brain - you have three; your ancient Chimp brain that keeps you alive, your modern Professor brain that navigates the civilized world, and your Computer brain that accesses your memories and runs your habits (good and bad). They fight for control all the time and that's when bad things happen. What if you could stop the thoughts and feelings you don't want? You can.

Better Read than Listened To
Revisado: 03-25-18
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
This book would be a far better read because of the recipe-like structure of the book. Also, I found the metaphors and euphemisms used to take away from the science behind the book.
