So much historical context for why the founding fathers wrote the second amendment the way they did. It really is for a defense against tyrannical government.

Hundreds of places in the United States are named after this guy for a reason. as far as I know, this is the most comprehensive biography of the Marquis de Lafayette available. Drawing on primary sources and well narrated, this is a good audiobook about a very great man.

Julie Kelly peels away the hyperbole and lies of those who think the Capitol Riot compares to such events as 9/11, Pearl Harbor, the Civil War, or the War of 1812.

George Orwell, is one of the most influential authors of the last century. He may well be one of the most needed authors this century. one thing that must be remembered about this book oh, is that it is a tragedy. I like the animated and live-action movie adaptations, the book does not end with hope or happiness. it shows what happens when seemingly good ideas, become corrupted through the lust for power and dominance.

The narration of it was most excellent. As with any audiobook worth its salt, this was narrated buying enthusiastic reader, who got into the various roles, and even sung out whatever songs were mentioned in the book.

As the tile for my review suggest, I see it as a cautionary tale against totalitarianism in general, and against Communism in particular. I saw many similarities between the history of Communism and Animal Farm.

I first leaned about this incredible man from badassoftheweek.com, but I didn't catch that the man had written his story. Upon first hearing that he did not surrender until 30 years after he first came to the island, I wondered why he had not killed himself as many of his contemporaries had when faced with defeat in their perverse interpretation of Bushido. Some may call it blind-obedience to orders. I call it devotion to duty.

The narrator did a wonderful job indicating the events of the book. He had the stoic, yet emotional voice that one would expect from a World War II Japanese soldier.

I highly recommend this audible book for those who want see a different perspective of the Pacific Theater in World War II.

I've always admired the original American heorine, Harriet Tubman. Having previously learned about her in grade school, I was unaware that her exploits were for the consumption of children and young adults. An animated video of her inform me that she, was not only was a conductor on the Underground Railroad (the most successful), but also a nurse and spy for the Union Army during the Civil War.

What I didn't know, was that she was also a scout who was instrumental in a successful raid that freed about 150 slaves. While also aware of her charitable work after her exploits, I was unaware of her efforts for women's suffrage.

this is a great scholarly work that is accessible to the General Public. unlike other reviewers, I like how the narratorr changes her voice to give character and depth to the narrative.

this is Harriet Tubman in her glory and her imperfections. All in all, a true American heroine!

Pamela Geller's story, from her childhood in New York City to her harrowing experiences in fighting for the right to speak freely, she joins the ranks of Gerry Wilders and Robert Spencer, among others in addressing the elephant in the room that no one seems to want to touch: Global Jihad/Islamic Supremacism.

As far as I could tell, her enunciation was spot-on. she gave me new insights to events that I had previously only followed mildly. Such as the first ISIS attack on the US soil against a Muhammad cartoon convention in Garland Texas.

She makes it clear that who she fights if not Muslims, but Islamic terrorists and supremacists.

What better combination could there be for an audio book that Lord Alfed Tennyson and Charlton Griffin?

First, the introductory biography of Lord Alfred Tennyson did not diminish my enjoyment of the book in any way, shape, or form. especially due to the addition of the original audio of Tennyson reciting The Charge of the Light Brigade and his famous poem The Lady of Shalott.

Second, the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, whilel already familiar to me, was given new dimension and meaning. Having read the version by Howard Pyle, I was very pleased to hear the idealized version of this famous Tale so masterfully narrated by Charlton Griffin. This further confirms my correctness in adding other of his narrations to my wishlist end future library.

Third, the addition of the music in between the chapters at the beginnings and the ends how did the sense of realism to this audiobook. The sound effects also made it atmospheric.

Finally, my favorite character was King Arthur Pendragon. Although it is not the complete picture of Arthur the man, it is a beautiful one that reaches Tennyson's intention of a christ-like figure.
