Historia
The Lucifer Priciple is a revolutionary work that explores the intricate relationships among genetics, human behavior, and culture to put forth the thesis that "evil" is a by-product of nature's strategies for creation and that it is woven into our most basic biological fabric. Though this argument is not a new one - it has been brought forth by such great historical figures as St. Paul, Thomas Hobbes, and Raymond Dart - Howard Bloom here takes fresh data from a variety of sources and shapes it into a lens through which listeners can reinterpret the human experience.

makes you think
Revisado: 03-16-21
It is a good book to make you think. I wish there was some type of tangible outcome and resolution to the issues outlined. Narrator was very good and clear. Easy to understand language. Very interesting information but wish this was accompanied by a citations PDF as there are a lot of information that I would like to verify myself.

Revisado: 02-28-21
this book is pretty valueble for me. learnt alot about myself and others which I have been pretty ignorant about. I would not have seen and realized this if I had not heard this book. Going in I did not like the book because it felt it did not apply to me, until I found out that you can have more than one of these colours which made much more sense

But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

Historia
Now in a third edition, Robert M. Sapolsky's acclaimed and successful Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers features new chapters on how stress affects sleep and addiction, as well as new insights into anxiety and personality disorder and the impact of spirituality on managing stress. As Sapolsky explains, most of us do not lie awake at night worrying about whether we have leprosy or malaria. Instead, the diseases we fear-and the ones that plague us now-are illnesses brought on by the slow accumulation of damage, such as heart disease and cancer.

this book is amazing. I like that it really delves deep into what it is and how it affects people and the vast amount of experiments conducted proving the points. Its also good to have in 2 parts about what it is and what to do about it.

Why do smart people make irrational decisions every day? The answers will surprise you. Predictably Irrational is an intriguing, witty and utterly original look at why we all make illogical decisions. Why can a 50p aspirin do what a 5p aspirin can't? If an item is free, it must be a bargain, right? Why is everything relative, even when it shouldn't be? How do our expectations influence our actual opinions and decisions? In this astounding audiobook, behavioural economist Dan Ariely cuts to the heart of our strange behavior....

Always interesting!
Revisado: 11-26-20
I have been listening to this podcast for a while all the way from the beginning. It has introduced me to many great schools of thoughts, philosophies and philosophers and has made me think critically. Stephen West is pretty enjoyable to listen too and comes up with some great content as far as I can tell, which comes from myself who lacks a philosophical background. Its been made very simple and easy to digest and understand which I am very greatful for. Its why I like it so much.
