Historia
As a cargo ship rockets across the galaxy to Canto Bight, the deckhands onboard trade stories about legendary Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. But are the stories of iconic and mysterious Luke Skywalker true or merely tall tales passed from one corner of the galaxy to another? Is Skywalker really a famous Jedi hero, an elaborate charlatan, or even part droid? The deckhands will have to decide for themselves when they hear The Legends of Luke Skywalker.

Really disappointing book. The stories were slow and the descriptions of Luke horrible. This is six hours of my life I will never get back!

Historia
From the author of The Ghost Ships of Archangel, one of the last unheralded heroic stories of World War II: The U-boat assault off the American coast against the men of the US Merchant Marine who were supplying the European war, and one community’s monumental contribution to that effort. Mathews County, Virginia, is a remote outpost on the Chesapeake Bay with little to offer except unspoiled scenery - but it sent an unusually large concentration of sea captains to fight in World War II.

Great subject, but is drawn out.
Revisado: 07-26-16
What did you like best about The Mathews Men? What did you like least?
The book covers a great subject and really does a great job giving you a look into what the merchant marines dealt with in WWII. I felt the book was bit drawn out. It probably could have been about 2/3 the length and still gotten the story and point across.

Fun story with great narration!
Revisado: 07-26-16
Where does Star Wars: Life Debt - Aftermath, Book 2 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It ranks in the bottom of the upper tier. The sound effects they put into these books certainly help a lot with the story and that is something unique to the Star Wars books from what I have seen. The story is fun and entertaining and the characters are built well.

Historia
Adam rips parenthood a new one, telling it straight about what adults must do if they don't want to have to support their kids forever. Using his own crappy childhood as a cautionary tale, and touting the pitfalls of the kind of helicopter parenting so pervasive today, Daddy, Stop Talking is the only parenting book you should ever read.

Stop Complaining
Revisado: 04-11-16
What did you love best about Daddy, Stop Talking?
The overall message was good, it just took a lot of complaining to get there. The last 20 minutes saved the story.
What about Adam Carolla’s performance did you like?
Having an author read his own book adds to the experience. This was more like a really long podcast with somebody just telling you stories and spending a lot of time complaining. There were tidbits added that didn't seem to be in the book and having Adam read this allowed you to really feel the emotion.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
As a parent... at the end when he talks about having to have the big picture view of how all the sacrifices you do make are worth it because you have a great relationship with your kids.
Any additional comments?
Adam has been very successful... from Love Line to The Man Show and beyond he has built a very strong brand. He deserves all the money and success he has. That said... STOP COMPLAINING! I swear the first hour of the book was him complaining about having a nanny and a maid. I get it... people in your house. Guess what... there is a solution... it is what a lot of us who also work hard, but may not have the financial success do... do the work yourself. If you don't want to do that.. don't complain about hiring people... that is your choice... nobody forced you to have a nanny and a maid. Also... you are not the most knowledgeable music critic on the planet. We all don't have to adhere to your opinion of music and just because you say Prince sucks... doesn't mean he does. I'm not a huge Prince fan, but that whole segment was annoying. He has some good songs let it go. Same with the Beastie Boys. Just like you... these people are successful for a reason... so stop acting like you are the only person in the world who knows anything about music.

Historia
On May 1, 1915, with WWI entering its tenth month, a luxury ocean liner as richly appointed as an English country house sailed out of New York, bound for Liverpool, carrying a record number of children and infants. The passengers were surprisingly at ease, even though Germany had declared the seas around Britain to be a war zone. For months, German U-boats had brought terror to the North Atlantic.

Historia
The anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history - how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices are not appeased....

Great book for a history buff
Revisado: 12-05-11
Where does Killing Lincoln rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This was a great listen for somebody who likes history. The story was told well and I definitely learned some new things and got a better idea of our history as a country.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Killing Lincoln?
I think for me, it was hearing how people used to sleep on the floor of the White House to get a word with the president.
What does Bill O'Reilly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Since he is the author there is a lot of passion in his telling, plus he knows exactly where to put the inflections and can read the book the way he meant for it to be read.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No extreme, just really interesting.
