Historia
The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob - featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter. Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct.

And the people within them now know to fear the no man's land beyond their borders - and the darkness.... A long book about nothing..
Revisado: 03-21-17
Would you try another book from Anne Bishop and/or Alexandra Harris?
Nope!
What three words best describe Alexandra Harris’s voice?
I really like the reader, just didn't care for the story.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Etched in Bone?
The entire premise of the book was bad starting with the antagonist. There were some interesting ideas that never came to fruition and over-all it was just meh.
Any additional comments?
Stop with book 4, it was good and held a better ending. This book just felt like the author was trying to get some more money out of her listeners/readers.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Short Drop?
So many, but in order to not give spoilers I'll go with the meaning of "The Short Drop."
Which character – as performed by James Patrick Cronin – was your favorite?
The main character, Gibson Vaughn.
Any additional comments?
A very good book by an author new to me. I look forward to other books by this author.

Enough with Granuaile!
Revisado: 02-09-16
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would highly recommend the first six books, but these last two have been meh. I like POV from Atticus and Owen but can't stand the POV of Granuaile. I liked her much better before we saw the story from her POV and now I just hope she dies horribly in a fire.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Parts from Atticus's and Owen's POV were good. Everything from Granuaile's POV was awful.
Which character – as performed by Luke Daniels – was your favorite?
Oberon
Was Staked worth the listening time?
Not sure, maybe if you like to hear badly written whiny chicks.
Any additional comments?
Please, please, please stop writing from Granuaile's point of view.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

A great book and excellent reader!
Revisado: 05-11-15
If you could sum up The Martian in three words, what would they be?
Incredible, Fun, and a bit Nerdy!
What other book might you compare The Martian to and why?
I really can't think of a book so filled with science and yet so, so entertaining. There are the Jack Campbell books with the great space warfare but only ok story-telling. There are the B.V. Larsen books that are entertaining but way too far fetched. This book has solid science a protagonist you can identify with and a great story.
Have you listened to any of R. C. Bray’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but will definitely looks at his other reads.

Vaelin Al Sorna, warrior of the Sixth Order, called Darkblade, called Hope Killer. The greatest warrior of his day, and witness to the greatest defeat of his nation: King Janus' vision of a Greater Unified Realm drowned in the blood of brave men fighting for a cause Vaelin alone knows was forged from a lie. Sick at heart, he comes home, determined to kill no more. Named Tower Lord of the Northern Reaches by King Janus's grateful heir, he can perhaps find peace in a colder, more remote land far from the intrigues of a troubled Realm.

Good, but not as good as Blood Song
Revisado: 07-16-14
Would you listen to Tower Lord again? Why?
I will to try and grasp some of the nuances in the story.
What aspect of Steven Brand’s performance would you have changed?
His monotone dialogue, which makes it hard to distinguish each characters voice.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The book was good, I liked the new characters brought into the story, but wish there was more surrounding Valen. The book is titled,"The Tower Lord," but he is only a small part of this book.
Any additional comments?
I didn't care for the lesbian scenes between Reaver and the mistress. The scenes didn't bring anything new to the story and wasn't improved by its inclusion. It felt like it was placed in the book to support the author's agenda versus supporting the story. One of the things I appreciated about Blood Song was the incredible story without the need to include graphic sex scenes. This basically took a play out of George RR Martin's playbook, which isn't a complement.

Not his best work...
Revisado: 06-26-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend all of the earlier works, but wouldn't recommend this book.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
It was ok, nothing special or notable.
Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Luke Daniel does a great job with Atticus, Owen (arch druid), Oberon, but the female voices of Granuale and the new dog are just meh.
Do you think Shattered needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
This definitely needs a follow-up with more Atticus, more Oberon, more Owen, but much less Granuale or least much less from her perspective. I like her in the story, just don't like the story from her perspective.
Any additional comments?
I wish I could rate this book higher but in my opinion this was by far the worst book in the series. Had I started with this book I would have stopped with it.

Historia
In what is considered one of Heinlein's most hair-raising, thought-provoking, and outrageous adventures, the master of modern science fiction tells the strange story of an even stranger world. It is 21st-century Luna, a harsh penal colony where a revolt is plotted between a bashful computer and a ragtag collection of maverick humans, a revolt that goes beautifully until the inevitable happens. But that's the problem with the inevitable: it always happens.

Heinlein was a visionary!
Revisado: 11-05-12
Where does The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It's not the best I've listened to, best definately worth the credit.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress?
The awakening of the computer called Mike, the descriptions of life on the moon, and the battle for freedom.
What about Lloyd James’s performance did you like?
Great performance!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes it was.
Any additional comments?
I like a wide varitety of novels and while this book was written well before my time the story is relevant to these times. I typicall read more modern day novels, buy the story telling of Heinlein keeps drawing me back in to want to listen to more of his novels. This is the fourth book of his I've listened to and like his others well worth the credit.

Historia
With U.S. intelligence agencies wracked by internal power struggles and paralyzed by bureaucracy, the President was forced to establish his own clandestine group-Covert-One. It is only activated as a last resort, when the threat is on a global scale and time is running out. In northern Uganda, an American special forces team is decimated by a group of normally peaceful farmers. Video of the attack shows even women and children possessing almost supernatural speed and strength, consumed with a rage that makes them immune to pain, fear, and all but the most devastating injuries.

Great Story, Awful Narrator
Revisado: 02-28-12
What made the experience of listening to Robert Ludlum's(TM) The Ares Decision the most enjoyable?
I love this story and series, was happy to see another book from it.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The plot was fast and kept me entertained in-spite of the awful narration.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The Iranian characters sounded like they had a Scotish Accent. Worst narration I've ever experienced in any audio book I've listened to.
