Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

The final concept
Revisado: 01-31-20
I really liked the performance and the stories were very well researched, trying to show all aspects. But the conclusion was not very clear and concise to me. I realize there are two sides to every story and we've really got a division going on here in America. And this book pinpoints certain happenings that shows this. I liked the studies you brought in about behaviors, I felt more of these might have been useful, but what you chose was very good. The one difficulty for me is where the answers lie to mend or heal these problems of talking to strangers. There is a subtle notation about our own expectations and mindlessly casting that shadow on others. Which I believe is the crux of the whole idea in talking to strangers. When I say mindlessly I mean that in a very broad perspective because even the psychological studies do not meet the true criteria needed. And this is where I did really like that Malcolm brought in a case study of the differences of nationalities and peoples, and about the social drinking. Which open's the mind to realize that there's a lot more to this than our own small perspective. So how do we teach people to talk to strangers? This is something for another book, I believe.
I think the book's title does not fit the content or possibly the concept, and then that's proving the point that my expectations didn't meet what I was hoping for I suppose. Otherwise great job Malcolm in opening up a little corner of a very large issue of communicating and talking to the human race and what is lacking in society, laws, politics & communicating. I did learn some great things from your book, thanks.

We live our lives based on what we believe about the world, ourselves, our capabilities, and our limits. With few exceptions, those beliefs come from what science, history, religion, and other people tell us. What if those beliefs are wrong?

POWERFUL
Revisado: 06-24-15
This is an awakening of why, what, where and how. By applying these simple truths and laws you will be changed. They are so simple yet complex to our beliefs and confusing to the conscience mind of social disorder that many won't follow through to become a Creator of their own lives.

Historia
Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold coauthor Sharon Lechter, this book is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.
