Historia
Air Force pilot Captain Carlyle "Smitty" Harris was shot down over Vietnam on April 4, 1965 and taken to the infamous Hoa Lo prison—nicknamed the "Hanoi Hilton." For the next eight years, Smitty and hundreds of other American POWs—including John McCain and George "Bud" Day—suffered torture, solitary confinement, and unimaginable abuse. It was there Smitty covertly taught the Tap Code—an old, long-unused World War II method of communication—to many POWs. In turn, they taught others, and it quickly became a way for POWs to communicate without their captors' knowledge.

Historia
Still reeling from a personal tragedy, investigative journalist Rooker Lindström finds a grim hideaway from the world. It’s the dilapidated cabin on Minnesota’s Deer Lake bequeathed to him by his late father—one of the most notorious serial killers in the state. If the walls of this murder house could talk, they’d scream. Detective Tess Harlow needs something from Rooker only he can provide: a window into the mind of a murderer. A copycat is on the prowl, following in the footsteps of Rooker’s father.

Not The Poet
Revisado: 08-05-23
Too wordy, nothing new, slow, I didn't like it . Not Michel Connolly. I loved the poet, and every book after it. Disappointing, thought maybe a new author perhaps a good book finally.

Revisado: 12-18-19
Joy Ellis can really write a great mystery. I had almost given up on finding a great mystery writer these days, so pleased I kept looking. I love the characters, especially Maria, and Jackman, great team. She writes so you feel as though you are there, and are part of the team. Absolutely brilliant writing!

Love a good mystery, wasn't sure what I be in for here but am quite pleased. Fell in love with the beautiful writing, like the greats I say ( Christie, P.D. James, Cleeves, etc.). Absolutely thrilled to have found her, and will continue on to the rest of her books. What a great treat!
