Historia
1887. London, but not as you know it. The Industrial Revolution went further than anyone could have imagined, and the sprawling, chaotic metropolis of Even Greater London spreads across the entire southern half of England. The immense Tower casts electricity through the sky, powering the mind-boggling mechanisms of the city around it. The engineer-army of Isambard Kingdom Brunel swarms across the capital, building, demolishing, and rebuilding whatever they see fit. And at the heart of all this sits the country's first Private Investigation Agency.

Great narrator
Revisado: 08-22-24
Huge fan of the show! Was a bit worried at first that I wouldn’t like the story told without the usual cast of voice actors, but Balmoral did such a good job with the story that it becomes just as captivating as their regular audio dramas! Can’t wait for a second book!

Fun, but not her best
Revisado: 12-14-23
Good plot with some very nice creepy bits , ending was once again a little disappointing, like most of the cormorant strike novels ,

Historia
Everyone from Wakarusa, Indiana, remembers the infamous case of January Jacobs, who was discovered in a ditch hours after her family awoke to find her gone. Margot Davies was six at the time, the same age as January—and they were next-door neighbors. In the twenty years since, Margot has grown up, moved away, and become a big-city journalist. But she’s always been haunted by the feeling that it could’ve been her. And the worst part is, January’s killer has never been brought to justice.

Must be a crime, junkie fan
Revisado: 02-23-23
The storyline was somewhat predictable, and none of the characters really stood out, but being a huge crime, junkies fan, and knowing that this was Ashley flowers, first debut novel, you can’t help but admire and respect her for this. It was entertaining enough and was a very easy listen., and I really liked the ending!
I would say avoid, if you’re looking for a one of a kind , blow your mind suspense, novel, but definitely by if you love the crime junkies girls as much as I do in one and entertaining and fun listen without too much to think about!
