Historia
It is the morning of the reaping that will kick off the 10th annual Hunger Games. In the Capitol, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow is preparing for his one shot at glory as a mentor in the Games. The once-mighty house of Snow has fallen on hard times, its fate hanging on the slender chance that Coriolanus will be able to out charm, outwit, and outmaneuver his fellow students to mentor the winning tribute. The odds are against him. He’s been given the humiliating assignment of mentoring the female tribute from District 12, the lowest of the low.

The narrator is so awful, it ruined the book!
Revisado: 12-08-20
The story is excellent but, oh my gosh, this narrator was absolutely terrible. It hurt listening to him. He's a 2x Tony award nominee so he can clearly sing, yet he chose to monotonously READ all of the song lyrics (even of songs with well-known melodies like 'Oh My Darling Clementine'). He also used basically the same voices for each character gender--one voice for men and one for women--so it was difficult at times to tell who was talking. Lastly, he read with no emotion. The heart-rending moments were spoken with the same boredom and lack of inflection as the euphoric moments. Ugh.
I listened to this book at 1.5x speed just to get through it and try to finish the great story with minimal suffering but honestly, the poor narration made me angry. Perhaps I was spoiled by Tatiana Maslany's incredible reading of the first three books. Why oh why didn't they get someone even half as skilled to read this one? Save your money/credit and just buy the actual book to read yourself.

Historia
When Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert of Green Gables, Prince Edward Island, send for a boy orphan to help them out at the farm, they are in no way prepared for the error that will change their lives. The mistake takes the shape of Anne Shirley, a redheaded 11-year-old girl who can talk anyone under the table. Fortunately, her sunny nature and quirky imagination quickly win over her reluctant foster parents. Anne's feisty spirit soon draws many friends - and much trouble - her way.

This is a beautiful tale, so very well narrated! I loved every second of it and didn’t want it to end.

Historia
With the help and full cooperation of friends, family and associates, Nancy Sinatra has compiled an incredible, in depth look at the life of this fascinating performer. Listen to Frank himself on the subject of Ol' Blue Eyes, alongside the greats who have always surrounded him: from his early days on the radio with Tommy Dorsey; entertaining troops with Bob Hope; on stage with Sammy Davis Jr. and Bing Crosby; and even a rare recording on the subject of politics with John F. Kennedy.

beautiful biography
Revisado: 04-29-16
Loved it overall, but Nancy practically whispered half the story. It was very distracting. She seemed to barely breathe out the endings of words, and her quiet (dare I say weak?) voice robbed some parts of their emotional weight. Otherwise, I really enjoyed learning about one of my heroes, and have already listened to this three times in 2 days.
