Fantastic story!

If you're a fan of Lost then you'll let this story. No, it's not a copy and I'm not giving anything away. It has that vibe to it. I really enjoyed the twists and turns. It plays on themes of love and loss, regrets and hubris, on secrets and betrayals. There are several dimensions of this that carry you through beginning to end.

This is the start of a great adventure...

This has a great cast of balaced characters. Big dungeon and dragons vibes. You have all the good stuff that goes with this genre... The big bad baddies, a magic alignments system, the most noble against the most vile. The book has a great pulse and I didn't want to stop listening until I got to the end. Narrator does a fantastic job too.

World split due to a catastrophic

I enjoyed the story, has a familiar theme of coming of age, the dark side tends to have better knowledge, resources, and there are strong female characters and nation alignment similar to Robert Jordan's WoT. May this was influenced by it. There's some seperation of crew, betrayal and unlikely alliances. I enjoyed the narration as well.
I saw a few negative reviews which I'd like counter and attribute it to some strange right wing narrative where cliche white knight and damsel in distress is required to appease some echo chamber mindset that must consume their full outlook on life.
