As a huge hip hop fan...

This almost makes me feel betrayed. I like to believe I read people really well. I like to believe I am “woke” but this book just slapped me with that lie. I’ve read about some of these things for years and he’s right, I chopped it up to non sense, because I love music and so many artists. I’m not going to say, I’ll never listen to any of these artists again, but it will make me be more aware of lyrics and video imagery, across the board, not just hip hop. This was definitely eye opening, gives tons of information to back it up, I’m very impressed. I’ve already recommended the book to multiple people.

Definitely worth a read

I wish I had read this instead of listened to the audio book. Her voice was just so slow and awkward, it made it hard to follow at times. Once she got to the juicy stuff however, that kept me interested. I really felt her heartache through her words, her reading voice just didn’t match the emotion. The book is a great read though. Especially if you enjoy celeb gossip. Overall I enjoyed it.
