Historia
In a voice both haunting and startlingly immediate, Nitta Sayuri describes her life as a geisha. Taken from her home at the age of nine, she is sold into slavery to a renowned geisha house. Witness her transformation as you enter a world where appearances are paramount, virginity is auctioned to the highest bidder, women beguile powerful men, and love is scorned as illusion.

Inexcusable
Revisado: 02-16-06
I frankly do not understand why this book is liked by so many. The story is long, and drags on for quite a while. Besides, methinks that a lot of the story has been left out - assuming that it is a life story. The picutre painted is a well-contained and a well-orchestrated one. Overall, I was very dissappointed with the book, especially given the great reviews that I got from most of my friends.

Interesting - but not enthralling
Revisado: 12-23-05
The book is interesting, in that it tells the tale of a different company. To a large extent, it provides an insight into the minds of the creators of Google. Notwithstanding, the flow of the book is not good - skips the chronological order sometimes. In addition, the book focuses more on the creators than on the company. Overall, the book is interesting but not enthralling. It is difficult to go thru the book at one sitting.
