The story was fine but the book would have been half as long had the author removed all of the unnecessary descriptions. They definitely had an affect on the story for me.

Always entertaining
Revisado: 03-10-25
I did enjoy the story, but, the word "leprechaun" was used SO many times that the pronunciation started to sound distorted after a while. A bit off putting.

So Good !
Revisado: 02-13-25
I cannot tell you enough about how much I enjoyed this book. Kelly Bishop is an absolute delight both as a writer and narrator. She has a way of writing so that you feel like you have been invited to throw on your jeans and t-shirt then meet her for a cup of coffee and listen to her tell you whats been happening in her life .
She has definitely been a blessed with roller-coaster ride, "for now"

Love this series but, Agget !!! So irritating. The character, voice and disposition of her is so distracting and unlikable . She doesn't even sound cute but instead sounds like a brat.

Mrs. ? LOL!
Revisado: 11-17-24
Oh heavens !! Another great book from Benedict Brown! I only have one suggestion for the future, please never, never, never give another "cantankerous local" with a name like hers (I won't even try to spell it!) ! LOL. EVERY SINGLE time the narrator said it I tried to say it in my head !! Unfortunately I "said" it differently ever time 😃. It was exhausting. LOL!

Lennox ( not Heathcliff)
Revisado: 07-08-24
I absolutely love this series! Lennox is intelligent, relentlessly curious and can be funny with his observations when you least expect it. The occasional humor make these books so much more relatable and enjoyable for me in a genre that can tend to be stuffy. Also love the narration, but as with many narrated books, there are occasional changes in the narrators volume, based on a particular character and situation, that can be a little startling if listening on earbuds. It can make the volume a little difficult to regulate. Definitely not so difficult as to keep me from the rest of the books in the series.

I am struggling at the beginning of book two. I'm trying to decide if I can listen to this narrator through three more books. Her voice is just too childlike to me.
The story itself is fine, simple, but entertaining.
This series will most likely sit in my library for a while , at least until I need a book as filler for my ongoing listening.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this book very much and have already started the next kne inn the series. The narration is good but the character of "Woody" could use some work as he sounds like a stuffy female with a bit of arrogance.
