I could only get through about a quarter of this book. The story itself isn’t very good, but the narration was awful. Every single sentence was spoken so intensely like something huge was about to happen.

Very slow and not very interesting.

This book had good potential, however, it is basically following a bunch of hikers with an episode of violence randomly thrown in. Some of the characters just don’t make sense to the story and feel like they were included to add extra words to the book.

This was very, very loosely based on true events. The characters were stereotypical “white trash”, even their names were unoriginal. The only reason I gave it two stars, because at the end of the book, the author gives a short synopsis of actual abductions.
