Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

This is a gripping and exciting adventure tale!
Revisado: 09-30-23
At it's heart this is a, sometimes grim, magical adventure tale! Of which, as the story progresses, the author adds good depth into the aspects of its foundation, the world, the creatures, magic, characters, and it's universe. All while throwing out whacky hilarious scenarios!
I came across the first book at a time when I was rushing to find something new, something slightly different from my library's current collection. I took a chance and tried the first book and I was hooked! The narrator's accent was a little off putting at first not being used to it but soon realized it fit the main character and story very well! After around two weeks I binged through all nine books currently released and I can't wait for Jason's story to continue!!! Both the author and narrator are new to me but now I will have to check out some of their others works!

Historia
Repairman Jack isn’t your average appliance repairman - he fixes situations for people, often risking his own life. Jack has no last name, no social security number, works only for cash, and has no qualms when it comes to seeing that the job gets done. Dr. Alicia Clayton, a pediatrician who treats children with AIDS, is full of secrets, and she has just inherited a house that holds another. Haunted by painful memories, Alicia wants the house destroyed - but somehow everyone she enlists to help ends up violently killed.

Opinions and Spoilers present!
Revisado: 04-24-22
I like repariman Jack so far. The first book was very good. This one was kinda iffy. I have no problems with the way it was wrote. It was a pleasant reading experience.
The problems I have with it are the repeated statements of how HIV is not AIDS and how safe it is without explaining why and what precautions should be taken. The other problem is the doctors' end decision to destroy the world changing technology that was left to her and how Jack makes excuses for it.
Now this is definitely my opinion and how I feel. But just because it is discovered once does mean there is any guarantee that someone else will eventually discover it, especially if it happens along the lines of an accidental discovery. It could be lost forever. Just because she wants to deny a sick dead man something he wanted. Which probably could have been gotten around so it would not have mattered and the technology could have been shared. That just nitpicks at me.
The case with HIV seems more serious to be taken lightly. Yes AIDS is not HIV. HIV is a virus. AIDS is a syndrome or disease. You can't spread AIDS but you can HIV. BUT all HIV leads to AIDS if current proper treatment is not taken. And it is fatal. I feel Jacks original misgivings are more accurate than how he is told to feel about HIV with the information given. Trying to push the message of it being safe more info should have been explained as to why and what precautions must be taken and when.

Awesome!!!
Revisado: 11-12-21
The Infinite books are some of the best that I have come across in many years and as usual R.C. Bray does a fantastic job narrating! The story was interesting, engaging, comedic, fast paced, and dramatic. Really everything I look for in an audio book... and I think that says enough.
