What an eye opening book. I always loved Eve as a performer but had no idea how hard she worked and how much she had to fight. Great read.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Great narration and an awesome look inside this A list actor’s life. I laughed, took notes, and cringed at times. I also came away with a healthy respect for a man who stands in his truth.

Historia
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.

Raw Real and Unbothered
Revisado: 12-04-23
I absolutely loved this book! Ms. Carey told her truth in a way only she could. LOVED the breaking out in song and I love how she protected her children by not going into too much detail about her divorce from their father. A new LAMB has been added to the flock!

First celebrated for her voice, she became one of the most talked-about women in the world, whether for music and fashion, her relationship struggles, or as a walking blonde joke. But now, instead of being talked about, Jessica is doing the talking. Her audiobook shares the wisdom and inspirations she’s learned and shows the real woman behind all the pop-culture clichés. Open Book is an opportunity to laugh and cry with a close friend, one that will inspire you to live your best, most authentic life, now that she is finally living hers.

Brave and Vunerable Story
Revisado: 11-28-23
This was a fascination listen. I’m a big JS fan and I appreciated how honest she was in this book. I especially appreciated her taking us inside the music industry. It has ruined so many young women. The abuse she’s endured is truly sad. The narration was difficult to catch at times, but not too distracting. I enjoy the original author reading their stories more than not.
