Very entertaining

Here is a tale so unrelated to reality that it got my mind off of cabin fever and the 10 feet of snow outside my house. I’ve already appreciated Dennis E. Taylor’s writing and Ray Porter’s narration. This book is no exception. I especially liked the snarky interaction between the young humans and the sentient A. I.

I Thoroughly enjoyed this book!

I listened to One-Way Tickets and Lane previously to this book and both were very enjoyable. I think I like Arcadia best of the three Willows and Lane books though. Maybe just because I read it last. Don’t know for sure. They are quite different from the D. C. Smith series.

I have read most of Peter Grainger’s D. C. Smith Investigation series. To be honest, I actually thought One-way Tickets was another book in that series when I got it. I read (listened) to it anyway and was glad I did.

The books in this series have proven to me that 1. I really do enjoy fantasies and 2. I can love an author who reads their own books!
This book is excellently written and narrated. The story kept my interest from beginning to end. Although the ending was perfect, I can’t help wishing Luke Arnold would have more to say.

Worth the wait

I’ve waited years for this next book in the series and I am not disappointed!! I’ve enjoyed these characters from the beginning and I’m pleased at how they’ve grown while the stories have stayed fresh and satisfying. I had a little trouble grasping the twitter feeds and online interactions in this book at first, but I quickly caught on.

I loved the story, the narrator’s voice and intonation. I don’t really need such explicit sexuality since I have my own great imagination, but after I started to fast forward through those parts it was grand.

Absorbing

The writing was strong and the story absorbing. The narrator’s voice captured the different personalities very well. Even though I usually read mysteries and science fiction genres I throughly enjoyed this change of pace.
