The boring drone of classist warfare

This is the umpteenth book that I centered around class and social warfare. I'm starting to get bored of the samey nature of the topic. The only bright and interesting spot in this book is the relationship between Emily and Mara. If the next book is purely about the drive for freedom and the downfall of the aristocracy, I am going to abandon this series.

Fast paced rollercoaster of a book.

A fresh take and relatable

The protagonist starts off exceedingly weak and slowly grows in strength. His growth rate isn't explosive and he does not become op instantly like too many stories do with their isekai protagonist. He not only has a character ark but so does the main side character. More realistic than the stories in the lit rpg genre tend to be. The narrator adds his personality to to the story and it enhances the experience instead of distracting and detracting from it. Looking forward to the next installment! Do. Not. Disappoint.

A reluctant review

Normally I dislike and do not do reviews. The story was excellent but this is not why I write this review. The narrator is great at his job and keeps me listening with rapt attention, yet this is not why I write this review. The reason why I am typing this out instead of working is the absolutely hilarious outtakes at the end. The narrator is humble enough to include his mistakes while reading this book and I found them refreshing and gut-bustingly hilarious! Props to him. Keep them coming!

Gripping

This book has been well written and is an excellent read. The plot is fast paced and the characters as real as they come. The most frustrating thing is how short sighted Jason can be. Though he is just a young adult so there's some leeway.

Great storyline with too much philosophy.

It was enjoyable but as someone who doesn't agree with even the fundamental tenants of what the author believes, it was hard to suffer through the blatenly faulty logic and heavy handed doctrine. I recommend this book if you are post modern in thinking and Buddhist or hindu in religious persuasion.

Amazing "Read"

There are no other books that combine simplicity and complexity in their story line better that Mr. Rothfuss. The characters are so deep and the plot moves quickly. Long read though.
