Historia
No one knows exactly when it began or where it originated. A terrifying new plague is spreading like wildfire across the country, striking cities one by one: Boston, Detroit, Seattle. The doctors call it Draco Incendia Trychophyton. To everyone else it's Dragonscale, a highly contagious, deadly spore that marks its hosts with beautiful black and gold marks across their bodies - before causing them to burst into flames. Millions are infected; blazes erupt everywhere. There is no antidote. No one is safe.

As good as it gets.
Revisado: 08-06-18
Mr. Hill (King) is a remarkably good storyteller. There is no ned to compare him to his famous father; his gifts are his own and very compelling. This book is plotted so well, it is rather stunning and certainly a good read/listen. Ms. Mulgrew is the best audiobook voice since George Guidall. Joe Hill is about detail in plotting and force of character, goodness some might call it in this genre, though of course there is plenty of the other side of things. Don't miss this book; stick with it no matter what. It's considerable and noteworthy promise is fulfilled.

One of Terry Brooks' Best Fantasy Series
Revisado: 08-14-16
This is one of Terry Books' Best fantasy series. Some of us have been waiting for a very long time for the unabridged versions of these. And they were well worth the wait. John Lee does a terrific job narrating. He was an excellent choice. Brooks' fan should love these. This is the author in his prime. Don't miss it. Drop what you're doing and get these books!

As good as Guy Gavriel Kay
Revisado: 04-28-16
What did you love best about Dawn of Wonder?
The very high quality--both plot and language.
Who was your favorite character and why?
All.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. Superb.
Any additional comments?
This is a Guy Gavriel Kay or Ursula Leguin -level book. Better than Stephen Donaldson (whom I like a lot) and nearly as good as Patricia Mckillip. Literary quality. Bravo Mr. Renshaw.

Brooks meets King
Revisado: 05-23-15
What made the experience of listening to Running with the Demon the most enjoyable?
If Terry Brooks and Stephen King wrote a book together--this would be it. A delightful read with only a little bit of a slow start. Hang on--like all Brooks novels, it's quite a ride and well worth it.

Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

Terrific SciFi. Believe it.
Revisado: 06-03-14
If you could sum up Ender's Game in three words, what would they be?
Complex but smooth.
What did you like best about this story?
As SciFi goes, it doesn't get much better.
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
Loved Bean.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The story challenges our perception of children. It stretches reality pretty far, but it holds together. It wasn't easy to do that.
Any additional comments?
I won't mention that there's surprise ending.

Stunningly good
Revisado: 03-05-12
Patricia McKillip's trilogy is one of the best fantasy novels/series I've ever read. But listening to it on audio is even better. It is a literary quality series on par with the Earthsea Trilogy by Leguin, Tolkein, or the works of Guy Gavriel Kay. If you like these writers, you'll love this book. Start with Riddlemaster of Hed, then Heir of Sea and Fire, and finish with Harpist in the Wind. It is an incredible writing achievement. Enjoy.
