Historia
World-walking young surgeon Ryn Wilkie is trying to finish her residency here on Earth while also bringing modern medicine and antibiotics to a parallel but somewhat primitive Earth. She wants to improve the plight of women on that world - where they‘re treated as if they're property. It’s a world at about the technological level of our late 1800s. But she can find gold there in the same locations that history tells her they found it on Earth.

Good pacing, but predictable.

Too short. There was room for expanding some of the events, specially relating to the new world access.

Did the author just give up??
Revisado: 01-05-24
I liked the first two books but I can't even get through this one. I suffer through 40 chapters before giving up on it getting any better. The legal problems the protagonist face are expired by their statute of limitations which really took me out if the book given this law student should know what I found in 3 seconds of googling. The story is uninspired and so painfully cliché. The spicy scenes are meh at best. I enjoyed the first two books. Either I woke up one day and suddenly don't like the same books or this one just isn't nearly as good. I was looking forward to reading about Stella in the next book but I don't want to read it without finishing this one and I'm not putting myself through that.
P.S. My dad let's me use his account. He doesn't read romance novels and I don't want to post a review without clarifying that. Just feels weird.

Historia
One of the most influential Roman perspectives on religion came from a nonreligious belief system that is finding new adherents even today: Stoicism. How did the Stoics think about religion? In How to Think About God, Philip Freeman presents vivid new translations of Cicero's On the Nature of the Gods and The Dream of Scipio. In these brief works, Cicero offers a Stoic view of belief, divinity, and human immortality, giving eloquent expression to the religious ideas of one of the most popular schools of Roman and Greek philosophy.

just a bit disappointing
Revisado: 10-16-22
I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was a bit disappointing. Just not particularly interesting. Really didn't get me thinking like I'd hopped it would.
