Historia
Major Gerhard Engel was Hitler's army adjutant from 1938 to 1943. During his years with Hitler, Engel kept a diary. After the war, he added material to shed further light on certain events, military and political decisions, and Hitler's attitude to particular problems. His diary covers the decision-making process behind crucial military actions, including the annexation of Austria, the invasion of Czechoslovakia, and the war against Russia.

Full of promise which materializes as complete disappointment and you paid for to boot!

DO NOT WASTE A CENT ON THIS BOOK. What an opportunity... finally someone with actual daily access to Adolph Hitler and his top generals. What a major disappointment THERE IS NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE HERE WHATSOEVER. To make matters worse it stops in 1942 at the last days of Operation Barbarossa. It’s sad when you can say the narrator was the best part of the book. Was the rest of the war that consuming for the Germans? Did the author suddenly die? Was his tour of duty over and he went home? Was he paralyzed with despair? We will never know.... what we do know is the rest of WWII on for 2 1/2 more years, we won and the author apparently could not find a pencil. AVOID THIS BOOK LIKE A DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE.

A Classic Only Made Better By Dramatization
Revisado: 09-21-17
Would you consider the audio edition of The Foundation Trilogy (Dramatized) to be better than the print version?
Absolutely. Very vibrant. You felt like you were right along side the characters. A great set of voice talents
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The parts concerning the Mule and when the story "broke away" from the actual incidents and you were able to listen to Second Foundation scientists talk about The Seldon Plan in a very dispassionate way in stark contrast to actual events.
Any additional comments?
I only wish it was longer!

Historia
Charles Forbin has dedicated the last 10 years of his life to the construction of his own supercomputer, Colossus, rejecting romantic and social endeavors in order to create the United States' very first Artificially Intelligent defense system. Colossus is a supercomputer capable of taking in and analyzing data rapidly, allowing it to make real time decisions about the nation's defense.

Forced Myself To Finish IT
Revisado: 09-21-17
Would you try another book from D. F. Jones and/or P.J. Ochlan?
Yes. I read this book and the other parts of the Colossus trilogy many years ago. They were all good reads.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I would not have changed the story.
How could the performance have been better?
Change THE NARRATOR. His reading of the US President was particularly irritating. He made him sound like some 1950s Chairman of the Board "Buy!!!! Sell!!!! Get it done NOW!!!! Get out of here!!!" I expected much more than trite characterizations. Forbin himself was portrayed as very "whinney" - an unexpected portrayal for a scientist who creates a world dominating supercomputer - perplexed maybe, horrified certainly, whinney not at all.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Colossus?
The part where Cleo steps out of the shower. A good story point but, entirely too much time on it.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this story in the following scale of decreasing enjoyment - loved the book, really liked the movie (now a low budget cult fav), barely able to finish the audio.

Historia
When world-class biblical scholar Bart Ehrman first began to study the texts of the Bible in their original languages he was startled to discover the multitude of mistakes and intentional alterations that had been made by earlier translators. In Misquoting Jesus, Ehrman tells the story behind the mistakes and changes that ancient scribes made to the New Testament and shows the great impact they had upon the Bible we use today.

Narrator killed this book for me
Revisado: 01-01-16
The narrator of this book is horrible. He sounded very sleepy and at times parental and condescending. Bart Eherman should have narrated this. He is a great speaker
The book itself takes QUITE A FEW CHAPTERS before it hits its stride but at times feels like "homework". Unhappy with the this purchase.
